I think it's a kind of sport update type of thing, similar to the F1 coverage.
Should be good when it gets going. Today was just an introduction.
I may be totally wrong though.

I am finding this feature a waste of time going by today about the Olympics. Chris is always interrupting Tina and the jingle seems to be stop start. It's a confusing mess in my opinion

I don't get why they have to give bios to British athletes when the Olympics is a year out. Maybe when it is a lot closer would this be necessary but it isn' at the momentt. It's just because it is a year to the start of the event yesterday and you know England does things best in milking things dry.

Yeah I wonder if this feature was a edict from on high about cross promotion etc. Another problem is Chris seems to have no idea who the athletes are (and little interest in finding out). If they are going to follow up through the year then we may get some good features eg the team going training with Jessica Ennis etc.

Not getting this feature at all, I know they have to keep trying to do new stuff but I don't think this is a keeper.All sounds a bit laboured.

I thought them watching the cricket was a little odd last week; I believe it was meant to be like the F1 at Silverstone feature but something didn't work? It ended up being a bit pointless on-air. I like the idea of using Tina's '60 second' bit but I agree the feature seems like it has no weight to it.

It does sound like the Olympics has been shoehorned in to the feature even though they said it had been planned for a while... at what point is it not going to be "Tina's SUMMER of Sport" if they're going to be checking in on the Olympic build up throughout the year?

That jingle was amazing. Just the right level of Grandstand pastiche. Another amazing job by Music 4.
