The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

If they hadn't mentioned that she was ill I wouldn't have noticed she wasn't there, I must admit. I like her, but she doesn't have the presence that Carrie had (for better or worse, depending on your views!).

Yeah, but I miss Carrie and Rachel more. Re-listening to '07 Podcasts at moment, Rach is great...

I am not missing her at all. Her voice is too high pitched for the mornings plus she hardly contributes to the show anyway.

Carrie was able to talk more because the producer at the time was more focussed on producing the show than getting on air. That isn't the case now. Aled must talk twice as much, at least, as Rachel did. I think it means Tina can't get involved as much, which I find a shame - it's nice to have a girl's voice mixed in with the blokes.

I don't think Aled is any more talkative than Rachel was. And I can't think of anyone more focussed on his primary purpose, ie producing the show. I'm judging that on two factors - the first, his input here and on Twitter where its obvious how seriously he takes his role as producer, and second on the result. The show is brilliantly produced.

Yeah his ego can be a problem.

She's a bit too middle class for them I think. Carrie was proper posh tottie, which gave her an uninhibited "rough" edge which enabled her to fit in better. Tina isn't as posh as Carrie, but she is still too "middle class posh" to fit into the team as well as Carrie did.

Yeah i don't think that she has gel'd with the team at all. It comes across to me and its nothing personally against her that it's just a job. What makes me think that is that she is home in bed by 11am. The Tina's Summer of Sport feature seems to be a bit forced, sorry Aled. It seems to be an a last gasp attempt to get Tina more involved in the show. She has been on the show for 17 months now. I still think that she is more suited to 1xtra audience than a R1 audience.

I don't mind Aled talking at all. Tina lack of involvement in the show is my only critisism of the show's on air talent.

EDIT: Removed part of my post as looking back on it, it was a bit harsh.

Aled has been grinding my gears for a while now, but to be honest I'm not sure why. He could do with taking more of a backseat like Rachael did.

As for Tina, it's nice when shes there but I dont miss her when Shes not, unlike Dave or Dom.

How could anyone even think of getting rid of Tina. If for nothing else she sometimes shares the mic
with comedy Dave and stop's him talking and laughing.

I like Tina - in fact I prefer her to Carrie. I'm quite surprised to see this many anti-Tina sentiments actually.

I wouldn't have noticed she was gone if they hadn't said but she is a nice addition to the show actually, although I didn't really take to her at first. She does have her moments though

Tina has been dropping in quite a few good quips and jokes recently. Often they are missed by Chris et al because they aren't used to hearing them.

She's a bit quiet, but overall a good contributor who is finding her feet. It must have been hard fitting in to an already tight team.

Monday, when she lost the plot laughing and set Dom off was priceless.

I'm not anti-Tina, I like her - I'm not convinced this is her dream job though!

I think I do miss Tina a bit actually. She contributes little to the show but enough for me to notice her absence. She does tend to just mimic Dom with his little quips here and there a bit too much, but I do think it's better when she is there than when she isnt.

I think 17 months with the team is long enough for her to be finding her feet. Sam was there maybe just over a year and she fitted in to the team dynamic really quickly. I miss Rachel and Sam.

I am not ant-Tina. I just don't think she is suited to the team. She was better when she was with Westwood, if she could cope with Westwood then Tina should be able to blend better with the Moyles team.

The team has good strong personalities, even Matt Fincham has a stronger personality. She just needs to not sit back and allow the guys to talk like she does atm, if she wants to make a contribution to the show. The team does need a strong female personality to cope with the rest of the team which she seems to sadly lack in my honest opinion. Tina does make contributions but not enough to make me miss her.

Sorry Aled, i know she is your friend and you have your "girls" nights with her. I think that she should take this as constructive critisism and use even my post to make her presence known more.

I think the show copes just fine without her. Except during the Pub Quiz ;) I don't mind her when she is on the show though, although I wish she spoke more.

I do like Tina but I didn't notice she wasn't there until at least 40-minutes into today's show when I suddenly twigged Dom was reading the sport.

Not sure I agree - I've felt that Tina has been joining in with stuff a lot more recently, even going as far as taking the piss out of Chris on occasion lately.

I may be completely wrong on this, but I think the sport reader has a lot more editorial input than the news reader (as there is a dedicated news editor on duty), so Tina is busy preparing the sports bulletins a lot more of the time than Dom is, so she isn't as available to join in with the banter.

I can't say that I've missed Tina, though I'm certainly not offended by her presence on the show. I prefer her to Carrie as I used to find Carrie rather annoying sometimes.

There's certainly something to this, I believe. Something that is quite clear to me is that Tina comes from a very wealthy, privileged background. From the stories she tells about her central London flat, her holidays and the arrangements with her dog and her washing, it's seems as though she's very much a daddy's girl and seems to be heavily supported both financially and responsibility wise. Carrie by comparison was always publicised as being 'posh', but she never actually came across to me as being overly privileged. Of course there were the jokes about Carrie owning various counties, but in my experience it's always much easier to make jokes like that with someone who is just posh, rather actually from a massively wealthy background.

As such, I wonder if Tina struggling to fit in is due to her being from such a different background to the rest of the team. She seems to have been gifted a lot of opportunities in her life by her parents, whereas the rest of the team have had to work to afford the lifestyles that they live. That's my two pennies worth anyway...

(Yes I've wasted too much time thinking and writing about this...)
