It's laughable that he thinks they've handled the situation well when from 2006 up until a few weeks ago, they were in complete denial of it being anything other than a rogue journalist. Then they started paying out celebrities "in a few cases where it could be proved" (read: where they'd been definitively caught out) and now all of a sudden it's grown into something maybe - just maybe - Rupert Murdoch himself can't even control, he's hugely on the defensive and come out with a response that it's hard to say is anything but offensive. He must be worried that when he croaks, his son won't be able to manage Daddy's business properly.
