The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

I never fail to find it amazing how blatant the Daily Mail's anti-Moyles campaign is.

The latest installment, a blatant twisting of the facts and the reporter hasn't even put their name on it: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/ar ... y-Man.html . Check out the snotty and brainwashed Radio 2 listeners who have obviously never listened to the show having their ten pennies worth in the comments section as well.

Thing that irriates me here, is that when Chris signed his new contract the other week (this being positive news and actual news) The Dail Mail didn't even mention it, they have waiting until they have something to twist into negative press before mentioning it to their brain dead readers.

How is anything he said about Steve Wright remotely negative? Wright has built his entire radio career on being totally bonkers - it works and its brilliant, Chris knows that and that's what he said! Wasn't it?

Pretty much but the anti-Moyles legion ie The Daily Mail and pretty much the majority of the press will shape it to be something totally blown out of proportion and then you will get the comments from people saying the same old crap like Moyles is a fat unfunny pig and so on and so on.

I like it when he brings up certain articles about him etc on the show at times and basically shoves them back in their stupid faces. Like I know people don't like the guy but it seems they've got no better stories to run than another anti-Moyles articles saying the same old stuff we heard before.

Well slagging off those harridans is fair enough. And if they want to report it, great - it will give them a new experience, writing something accurate for a change.

Christ, there's another shower of oxygen thieves who serve no genuine purpose whatsoever.

From the always interesting Tabloid Watch:

The most popular stories on the Mail's website

Last week, this blog highlighted a MailOnline article about Kim Kardashian crossing a road. On the same day, Georgina Littlejohn was breathlessly explaining how Kim's sister Kourtney had been seen in 'high wedged sandals'. In an article which was essentially 'woman goes out wearing shoes', Littlejohn wrote:

"the teeny tiny reality TV star must have been feeling particularly short yesterday judging by her shoes."

That same day, the latest ABCe figures showed that 77,250,993 unique visitors went to the Mail's website in May 2011, making it by far the most visited UK newspaper website (the Guardian was second, with 51.3m monthly visitors)

As this blog has pointed out several times before, MailOnline publisher Martin Clarke told the Press Gazette in 2009:

"It does annoy me that people say its all driven by search and showbiz stories because it’s actually not driven by either…

"Showbiz is less that 25 per cent of traffic. News is far more important to us that showbiz. News is what drives our site."

So, in the wake of the ABCe numbers, what does the Mail's 'Site's most read' section tell us about the popularity of the Mail's news and showbiz stories?

It shows that the Mail's news stories - what 'drives their site' - are less popular than 'woman dyes her hair', 'woman goes to Wimbledon' and 'footballer goes to Glastonbury'.

After reading that article I wish it was the Mail that was closed down on Sunday rather than News Of The World (saying that made me throw up in my mouth a little by the way, defending the NOTW in such a way )

I like the way they stupidly say:

The Daily Tripe wrote:If Moyles stays until the golden handcuffs deal runs out in 2014, he will be Radio 1's longest-serving breakfast show DJ

HAAAAAAA! LOL ROFL LMFAO etc etc
