The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

There doesn't seem to be any video up of Dave with the dog, which is a shame, as it sounded like he was more scared of it than Chris. If Aled doesn't end up having to do a challenge tomorrow, preferably one involving boobs, bugs, or boobs covered in bugs, then they'll have really missed a trick. He's the biggest screamer out of the lot of them (I can still remember his tortured screams during that Pot Noodle incident many moons ago), so you'd get the full effect of it on air with or without the added visual element.

Yeah i would of liked to see the video of Dave too. Aled carn't be getting out of it that easly. He's got to do something surley.

Until today the feature really dident deserve the hype. As a regular feature the Tina and Dave pieces would be fine but when expectations were raised so high it dident quite hit the spot! The way the team were dragging out Daves challenge yesterday, you could kind of tell they were thinking the same thing. I think part of the problem was both these challenges were ones that Joe Public would not find scary.

This is why Dom's and Chris challenges are working so well. The reveal for Chris this morning was hilarious radio. One of those trying not to laugh out loud while sitting on the bus to work moments! Intrigued now to find out whether Dom went through with it. After seeing people land wrong before and head off in an ambulance staright afterwards, it's not something I would jump at in the morning!

I didn't expect to get such strong feelings during today's show. Today was the strongest I've ever felt about anything on any of Chris' shows that I've listened to over the years. I know yesterday I wrote about Chris probably crapping himself if he was put in a dog suit (similar to Westwood in Afghanistan) but I didn't think that would happen. I felt it was wrong for him to have to do this once Fearne told him he needed to not move. Is she nuts? If you are terrified of dogs and you have a snarling one that is going to come up and bite a protective covering over your arm, how are you supposed to be able to control if you move or not? Also I think compared to Tina's and Dave's rewards, Chris' just stunk. Give him some Leeds United, F1 or some other great opportunity. For the thing he was being asked to do, seeing JJ Abrams for a second time, did not seem to be up there in terms of rewards. I could have understood if Chris said no to the dog task and that would have been OK in my eyes, even if it was over quickly.

Then Dom's task I really lost it. This is a person scared of flying and it would have been enough if they put him on the plane. The BBC allowed this? To ask Dom to jump out, even if it is a tandem, isn't right. What did he get offered for a reward? How about Peppa Pig World and some Liverpool treatment? This is over the top and they don't even compare to going up on a cherry picker like Tina's experience. Mind you she is scared of heights but the scale of her task and Chris and Dom's are nuts. Today Tina even said she wouldn't want to have to deal with that dog biting her arm.

With all the health and safety of the BBC I am surprised the dog thing and the parachuting was permitted.

I don't think the dog was ordered to 'attack' or anything was he? The roll around Chris/Dave's arm was what it played with and he was probably told to just go get it and play with it. He was made to sneer and growl on command so it was probably less risk than having a wild dog run at Chris and Dave, but being in their position, one of the most scariest things you can go through.

As far parachuting goes, I don't think BBC Health and Safety covers emotional ethics. If the show wanted to do a parachute, then they did all the paperwork for it. Dom being petrified of even taking off in a plane is another issue altogether. Unless the BBC Health and Safety department like to know what the persons' phobias are that is, just in case...

Hi Rich, I have not been able to watch the video so I am only going by what I heard. It didn't sound good with the build up and then the fear conveyed by Dave and Chris when the guy let the dog move towards them. I understood the trainer held the leash, maybe to pull the dog back? I did wonder in advance if the dog was not doing that type of work anymore with it's early age (maybe mid age for 5 years) because it had gotten "too friendly". Although he made it sound like the dog worked occasionally.

I am an outsider so I probably shouldn't be sticking my nose into what policies exist and why it was allowed to go ahead. As another user used the word "disparity", the disparity between the Monday through Wednesday challenges and the Thursday and Friday ones is huge and the payoff (except for the viewers) is small in my opinion.
I am surprised at what strong feelings I got, but they are my feelings and I am putting them out here. I love the show but it feels like Chris and Dom got the short end of the stick. That's better than getting the stick rammed up somewhere and get "smelly stick" but not much better.

I think Aled will do it. So proud of Dom for doing the plane. should still get his prize
#442874
I HAVEN'T HEARD TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED! NOW!!!!!
#442876
Dom got up in plane, but failed to jump. he leaked from the eyes a bit.....

Aled has got a spid to deal with....
#442880
So Dom wussed out of the jump (don't blame you Dom, I wouldn't have even considered it, not even for Peppa Pig!) - and Aled has to play with a spider? Make Aled jump out of the plane!
#442882
Poor Aled, If he can do this.Am so proud of him and everyone on the team,if they can face their fears then I can face mine
#442885
I had a gut feeling that Dom wasn't going to go through with it and it's a shame I was right. Fair play to him for getting on the plane in the first place and just being a step away from doing it. i Probably might have done the same thing so he doesn't need to apologise. Still love the guy.

Lol at what Trevor just said!
