I found it funny listening to how peed off Dave sounded this morning, and also wondered why the hell he's been reading the thread. I could see why he might have read the start of it out of curiousity if directed to it by Aled or someone, but I don't understand why he'd continue reading posts from people picking apart his lovelife. It must be like picking a spot or a scab; you know you shouldn't, but you just can't help it!

I don't think anyone should feel guilty for posting on this thread at all, as this is a discussion forum about the team and their lives, and it does what it says on the tin. I love Dave, but if he doesn't like what he's reading then he should stop reading it, simple as that.

And no-one's really criticising him. This thread is more idle speculation and banter. That's what you get if you read stuff about yourself on the internet.

I thought that too. He's constantly referring to people here as "social inadequates". It sounds like it's done in jest, but I don't think he's completely kidding.

And, no-one here really rises to that bait, so it really comes across as sour grapes when someone discusses something he doesn't want talking about.

It's a tricky thing, "fame". Just because you announce something to the press, and ask for privacy, it doesn't mean people won't talk about it, even peripherally. Dave got sympathy from basically everyone here, but he has to realise what this forum is about and do what I do -- if I don't like the topic being discussed, I don't read it.

I was barely able to listen to the show this morning, but listening again now and Dave sounded totally peed off with this thread and probably the forum as a whole.

I didnt think Dave paid any attention to this place. I thought he regarded us as a load of geeks and didnt read any of it. I havent read all of this thread but I can see why Dave would object to a few posts made by one particular poster.

Apparently, all the team come on here from time to time. Yes, Dave had read recently. The team to a certain extent accept that this shit will happen, and that there will always be 'less friendly' contributions - But do sometimes find it very hard, as they are real fecking people too, and some offerings can overstep the mark. They also recognise that when cm.net gets mentioned on teh air, the site often gets a flood of ne members who post something controvertial to try to get their 5 mins of fame as Chris slags 'em on air.

It's not Aled's business to try to set boundaries as to what people on an unofficial fan site can and can't discuss, though. Dave would have the option of legal action against the forum if he felt that anything libellous had been said, but apart from that it's entirely down to Chris (Harris). As already mentioned, nobody has said anything in this thread that contravenes forum rules, although I think several posts do overstep the mark in terms of respecting Dave's privacy.
