The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

I bet it wasn't as entertaining though, and they would have spoken a lot less and played a lot more music

How generous of them to piss all over what was ostensibly a Comic Relief event.

Did they have more than one listener?

That's just what I thought. Seems a bit like a petty attempt to try to claim they're somehow better than Moyles by disguising it as something worthwhile. The fact that none of us even knew it was happening says a lot though.

Yeah, that is interesting...

But if nobody is listening are they still making a sound?

That made me chortle.

It's a bit like 'if a tree falls in the forest, and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?'

Fair play to them, I say. Records are there to be broken.

But I doubt they had Katy Perry, Paul O'Grady, Olly Murs and the other guests that made Chris & Dave's record breaker the entertaining event that it was.

Yes. I'd say it does. There will most likely be birds around which would hear it

nothing apart from two guys posts saying the record was broken; One here, and one guy on digi spy, and a post on the website.

Nowt from guinness, no press release from the radio station, no photo with the certificate.

http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/Sea ... /72095.htm - still moyles on the record according to guinness.

Unless Guinness say it's a world record, it's not.

That's true, if its not been invigilated and accredited by Guinness, it isn't a record. They have broken nothing.

Records are there to be broken and this one was going to be broken at some point too. Who cares? What Moyles and Dave did was fantastic radio, a great achievement for them personally and raised shitloads of money.

Nobody can take that away.

Yep totally, the whole coverage, tv, online, radio was brilliant.

Fair play if these guys did their own marathon show to raise funds. But by the sounds of it their show/station is totally different and they don't have to follow the rules/guidelines that the Moyles team have (playlist, etc).

But for the OP to simply sign-up and boast is lame.

I know. He hasn't been back to defend Rodent FM or whatever they're called yet either...

well They don't hold the record unfortuantly...

Out of curiosity, i looked on the guinness records website and the record lasted 245 days.

The longest marathon presenting a music radio show by a team lasted 73 hours, and was achieved by KISS FM Radio (Germany) with the support of Nora Neise and Tolga Akar, in Berlin, Germany, from 15 to 18 November 2011, in celebration of Guinness World Records Day 2011.

Well it was good why it lasted.

Sat and today are up
