The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

I'm feeling a bit guilty about slagging off CPC, the Golden Hour and the Treasure Hunt features over the last few days, not that I no longer hold those views, more that I've been heavily negative. So, this is my penance. The Chris Moyles Show is still the best goddamn show on the radio. Have been a regular listener for 10 years. For constant, rewarding entertainment and laughs, nothing, nothing has come even close in that time, brightening up some pretty dark times. The flaws are magnified because the vast majority of the show is still so great. Hope it carries on for years to come, no matter what network it's on.

Oh God yeah. I wouldn't devote so much of my time to downloading, transcribing, clipping and reviewing a show that I didn't think this about. I honestly dread the day that the show ends cos I'll be lost without it.

Couldn't agree more. It's the only show on the radio I listen to wheras the rest of the stuff I listen to is music and podcasts (speaking of which, I have every single Best of Moyles podcast bar the break ones where they were like 5 min messages). It's great to listen to during my night-shifts and passes the time easily and at times, I am trying not to laugh so loud because of the hilarity that is happening at times on the show. Recent example was I listened to the 16th Feb show from last year on Sunday morning with Peter Kay on the day of the Brits and the silly things that was happening made me laugh.

There is nothing better than the Chris Moyles Show on radio. I used to listen to local breakfast radio but when i discovered Chris I gave up and now i am totally Chris.

It's the best show on Radio 1, but I also like Adam and Joe on 6Music, Danny Baker on 5 Live and Geoff Lloyd's Hometime Show on Absolute Radio. Which are all as good as Chris Moyles.

I don't think Moyles is as good as he was in the afternoons, but maybe that's because he's getting older and more mature than he was back then.

This is the only thing I listen to on Radio one, I used to listen to Scott Mills but this new "character" Chris is killing it for me so I'm slowly going off Scott but the Chris Moyles show is beyond amazing.

Chris Moyles, Adam and Joe, News Quiz, Fighting Talk and The Now Show are the only things I enjoy from BBC radio, for me these are the only shows that remain consistant in their quality.

When it comes to Chris Moyles, I find when they aren't planning anything and really just faffing around is when they are at their best.

Yes I enjoyed this morning cos the big scheduled chat was the boring video, but they got talking about water and then it didn't matter, too busy laughing. 8)

Same here...I wouldn't download, edit, and upload the show every day (or edit and upload Jamie's shows) if I didn't think it was brilliant :D And I'm not too worried about the show ending (although I hope it doesn't end for a long time), because it means I will be able to go back and listen to the fantastic back-catalogue we've built up :D

And personally I think the rubbish features and the totally random talk is the best part of the show.

That's true about the archive. It just panics me a bit to think there'll come a day when I'll run out of stuff! Although that would probably take years.

Sometimes at work I get other radio stations forced upon my ears and it always occurs to me how cheery and annoying the DJs are -I think one of the things I like most about Chris is how grumpy he can be, just like I am in the mornings :)

Maybe there are other shows out there which are the same kind of humour as well though, like Adam and Joe, which I also love. I've got a nice big back-catalogue of their shows too which I'm working my way through (and I'm editing the new ones for when I reach the end of the back-catalogue). I don't listen to any other shows apart from Moyles and A&J, so I don't know. I've always found Danny Baker funny, so that show might be worth a shot. I used to listen to Mark and Lard and nothing else, and it annoys me to think that I could have (and should have) been listening to Mark and Lard AND Moyles :D

Yeah, I think The Chris Moyles Show would have a lot more listeners if people actually listened to it. For some reason (i.e. the media), Moyles is one of those people who it is fashionable to hate, and because of that, many people are missing out on a brilliant show.

Totally. My mum likes him now, but only after she watched the Kilimanjaro documentary - before that she hated him for some inexplicable reason. There's also the guy at work I had a fling with who professed to hate him, and joined that 'Sack Moyles To Save 6Music' facebook group - then when he was staying at mine I caught him laughing at the show in the morning :)

What - really??!

Yes, and you are right, IPW. Many people don't even give the show a chance through nothing more than prejudice. Once they actually hear some of the stuff, be it the live show or podcast, they have to concede that it is entertaining.
