Hi everyone this is my first post and I would appreciate it if you could help me out. Does anyone know what equiptment they use for the mobile studio when they have the week before the Big Weekend, when they go On Tour, or when it was Chris' birthday and they moved to the radio theatre?

Those CD players are Pioneer MEP-7000's, but I'm afraid that's the only part I can help with.

As a part time Audio engineer i should know what it is but i don't know. Will ask around my friends to see if they can help.

Well, they were still using the usual VCS system in the Country House.

It's a 1980s analogue desk, originally used on the Radio 1 Roadshow!

Also used in publicity shots for Simon Mayo's longest show (but not the real show) - anoraks will notice a bit of a difference though!


It always strikes me as strange that when they're doing these OBs every member of the team has their own mic whereas in the studio Dave shares with either Tina or Aled.
