I suppose there isn't really that many other places big enough for a temporary radio studio and accommodation in that part of the world. Personally I find the whole 'our licence fee is going towards that' argument a bit stupid. I know I don't pay it, my parents do, but really does it matter? As long as you get content you like, I don't think it matters. Maybe that's just me.

And yes, on the Sky discussion, I definitely agree. It's really expensive when for most people Freeview is suffice. I don't think there are enough programmes that are exclusive to Sky to make it worthwhile.

I'll give you a clue... http://tinyurl.com/3h5p7lc

Bugger, was that too obvious...!?
Have to say, it looks like a nice place.

Very much agreed. I haven't been able to watch any of the red buttom streaming (hopefully I will on Friday), but regardless, it would never occur to me to feel annoyed that the licence payers are paying for them to be in a nicer or bigger house than strictly necessary. Even if I never watched or listened to any other BBC output, I would feel that the Moyles show is worth the licence fee alone, so I don't mind how they use it.

Liking the views from the Country House (Staffield Hall )............I heard Chris and Dave mention Kirkoswald Village and found the Country House .........which is already promoting the visit from the Radio 1 crew and presenters but thankfully affordable for us Muggles.....not for from great walking countryside and of course the Lakes and Carlisle...............!
