Even before he started training for DOI I always thought they hardly saw each other. Dave always used to mention the gigs he was doing be it folkface or the DJ stuff with Dom and then there was the football express thing, and then DOI, not to mention the voicing of coach trip.

Whether any of that led to the split I have no idea. The thing that has surprised me is how happy Dave has been on air. When the first marriage ended he was miserable as sin, as I remember Chris pointing out after it was announced.

All the best to both of them though.

chris was off today as it was bank holiday. Dev covered for him.

It wasn't a lie he made up the Sun are reporting that they have split SO. If it is not true. It would be dave playing on this until he and chris can run with this and ridicule the person who wrote the artical.

If it is true. i'm sure that it would be leaked as dave is a very private man. just as his divorce with emma was.

I would totally support the theory that the Sun could have made it up if it wasn't for the fact that Dave has tweeted a couple of times thanking everyone (and also on Jayne's behalf) for their messages of support. Would he be doing that if it was a lie? No. He'd be emphatically denying it, or staying quiet on the matter while he considered legal advice. So for that reason alone I'm pretty much positive that it's true.

There is a statement in the sun, they've now both tweeted on Twitter about it, several other sites have picked up the news. It's true and unfortunatly theres no way we can keep saying it's not.

Good call Ededwards, I can't believe this is a coincidence either. Once maybe, but twice is ridiculous. It'd be interesting to know from Chris whether the two accounts share an IP address... I'm sure t'other Chris and the team would be interested know who this is that keeps making their private business public before anyone else knows about it.

EDIT: Forgot to say, I do find this news really quite sad. Looking back though, it's probably been coming for a few weeks. There have been a number of small references by Dave alluding to his need to earn more money.

Wonder what went wrong? Jayne always seemed to be a bit out of Dave's league, so I have to think that Jayne is the one that wanted out, probably due to the amount of time Dave spends away? Who knows. We probably never will...

The good thing about this however is that it seems that they are still friends as they are both saying thanks from the both of them for the messages, plus the recent tweets from Jayne about Dave putting their daughter to bed. I would hate it for the end of a relationship to be the end of a friendship, as it is in the majority of them.

Has Chris been given the foresight that Daves marriages were doomed to fail. Scary reading that back now .

Chris will settle down eventually in his head hes still in his 20s and doesn't see the point. It will just hit him at some stage he has to settle down, maybe marry and have kids. Hes just not in that place yet.
