I've no real problem with a R1/1-Extra simulcast on bank holidays - a useful way of pooling resources etc. But I really hope they don't overbrand with "1-Extra taking over R1" all day, that gets bad enough on Saturday nights.

Does no-one else have a massive program with 1xtra taking over Radio 1 for a whole day? So all pop, rock/indie and dance music gets told to take a hike? I'm not opposed to 1xtra as a station, but I am opposed to it being a direct feeder station for Radio 1. Music tastes are supposed to come and go, but 1xtra just keeps than conveyor belt rolling in. No wonder the music scene is as stale as it is with the most popular and important young person's music station in the country getting half it's playlist automatically generated.

I don't have a program with it at all.
