But sadly not for much longer as they're being shoved off to DAB wasteland to make way for Jo fu*king Whiley.

Exactly, however the "young & trendy" Andy Parfitt, doesn't agree with the majority unfortunately, apparently the Radio 1 demographic would have never heard of a song before 1990

That's why I like 6Music, they play old, new, well know tracks & the more obscure stuff, brilliant radio in my opinion :)

Unforunately i can only listen to 6 at home & i do most of my radio listening at work. So its talksport ( Lord have mercy on my soul) or 5live apart from Chris for me. not unsurprisingly, i don't bother with anything else on Radio1, but then i'm not in their demographic anyway. The appeal of the Chris Moyles Show, & i would expect a very high percentage of its audience, is the humour, followed by the lack of music.

I never listen live. Normally because I'm sleeping at the time (I'm a student, it's allowed...)

Tend to listen on the iPlayer from the start to around 9am (most of the time longer, occasionally less).

I listen to about 7AM(ish)-8.20. I leave at 8.10, and listen to the next 10/12 mins or so on my MP3 player on my way to school

I usually catch it at about 8:20-8:30, right after waking up and listen until after the handover to Fearne.

Chris asked the same thing this morning.

Other than getting a shower during that stupid noise game, I listen to the whole show (I try and turn off before gobby arse shouts at me).

Most of it, the only bit i don't listen to is carpark catchphrase. Time it just about right to hear the handover between Chris and Fearne.

EDIT: I just find the callers boring. Would like them to replace it with something else for a while. NOT Cheggars Pop Quiz. It would be great if they would bring back Westwoods Where am I. Instead of the team playing get the listeners to guess.

I LOVE Carpark Catchphrase.

It's quite possibly my favourite 'regular' part of the show.

I know what you mean about the boring callers, but in a way the more boring they are the funnier it is. That's the only thing that makes the stupid noise game occasionally bearable.

I don't much like Car Park Catchphrase, but I'm not a "hater" - its just a part of the show I'm not so bothered about. But if you think the callers Chris gets are dull, oh my god you should listen to some of the people they get calling in on Radio 2. I felt SO sorry for Simon Mayo yesterday afternoon, it was like he was trying to get blood out of a stone trying to get this woman to say anything even remotely interesting. And they're always like that, just awful.

I heard some of the callers on his show the other day - the first bloke was spending the weekend on his boat, the second was off to buy his daughter a pony for her birthday. They couldn't have been more middle class if they tried. Made me chortle.

I try to listen to the first half hour, but often I find myself drifting back to sleep. Not because I find it boring, but because I'm tired. I try to listen to as much of the rest of the show as I can, but I rarely listen all the way from 6:30-10:00.

When Chris was on afternoons, I listened to the whole show almost every day.

I was listening to Sara Cox and she had just played with a contestant who was just boring and dull. The converstation then went something like

"So, do you and your friends like You Me at Six?" (indicating she would play it after she said yeah)
"Erm... er... no, not really"
"How about Girls Aloud?"
"Uhh.. well... not really"
"What about Take That?"
"Err... I don't know"

So. cringeworthingly. bad.

What about the guy on Celebrity Raspberry today! As Chris said, it was like pulling teeth. They managed to make it quite entertaining in the end though.

Anyway, I love CPC. I think the interaction with the callers is entertaining and the Mr Fish stories are usually superb.
