Anyone remember the Scott Mills show from last year when he started to play the McFly album in full (slightly taking the mickey out of Zanes master*******) He got to the third track and was summonned out of the studio. When he returned he sounded very p/o but it was difficult to say if he been reprimanded.

It's hardly a hugely time intensive feature, it's a 3 minute song and a ten second intro.

I know its not a hupe 10 minute rock epic now or something along those lines. I don't detest the song now because I rather listen to it than some of the dance crap ie David Guetta. It's just you would think that they might have got over the whole McFlyDay thing by now but I know some listeners like it and pretty much is going to stay until that changes. Just not a fan of it but guess I am being a bit of a grump. Not a fan of Friday shows anyway.

Well got some sort of mention with that then since I believe that was directed towards me and maybe a few others. Might not be so bad if they had a different McFly song every Friday and do Stargirl every month or so but ah well, it is staying for the time being.

Yeah I know. Had the argument before anyway and basically fighting a losing battle pretty much. I know there are people like me that are not fond of the whole McFly day thing but heck, I'll take it over anything that's played out on Radio 1 at the moment.

Like I said, if they chose different McFly songs every Friday, I wouldn't be so grouchy about it. Hard to believe it's been over a year already since that started so it has been played at least 45 or so times but that's pretty much the average of what Rihanna gets played on Today FM over the week! :p
