I think they usually have 2 weeks off over Easter anyway. Its just been brought forward a bit this year due to the Marathon show

They've earned their two week break after that great marathon show, however Scott Mills has failed to wake me up twice this week so far, he never talks just plays records, heh and they had him lined up to be breakfast DJ at one time :roll:

Scott is a fantastic Drivetime DJ, and certainly a "safe pair of hands" at breakfast - whatever the reasons, doesn't Chris have it in his contract that Scott is the stand-in?

Either way.. I look at it that when Chris is off, you realise just how much ahead of the rest of the pack he is. I've heard a little of Mills and he seems to be talking more than I would have expected - but yes, he's a drivetime DJ and that's where he's best.

Scott Mills is at his best wherever I am not. He is awful, and I have never understood why he is contracted to cover Breakfast when possible. The occasions recently when he was unable to and Sara Cox covered prove that it was the wrong choice. Still, its only 2 weeks, hardly the end of the world.

Why didnt they get someone like MistaJam in or someone else. I know its in the contract that Chris has that Scott fills in for him. I think there is an ulterior motive in that contract clause. If they put Scott on in place of Chris during his holidays and then when Chris comes back, the bosses of Radio 1 then will know how superior Chris is.

That's what I'd do! I wouldn't want Sara Cox or Greg James in my slot (oo-er!) -- they're too good.

Olly Murs and Chris doing the slo-mo reaction to the Leeds/Man U. score was one of the highlights for me.

There were so many hilarious moments -- I'm finishing off my first watching of the complete show right now.
