The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

I was just wondering how much money was raised for the Radio 1 Longest Show ever (with Chris and Dave) during different shows. Only took a mental note but during Scotts show on the 2nd day I think it seems to go up loads. I think from about that point it really shot up during the day time shows.

Anyone else geeky like me and wondering??

I think they cheated a bit, but when Fearne announced the bikini thing, that was by far the biggest jump -- £600,000 in "10 minutes". It wasn't really 10 minutes, but it was a ton of money.

Mr Yudster worked out that over the last three hours or so they raised about £111 per SECOND.

I do, yes. Like Toph said, it's an OCD thing. But I know some people don't like mods doing basically anything that isn't deleting spam, so I'm trying to check with everyone first, or wait til it's suggested by someone else (or leave it to Chris or Console, of course).

I'm certainly okay with the tidying up, and the editing of posts. You're obviously very responsible, otherwise you wouldn't be a mod, so I don't see any problem.

nic, you should've remained anonymous with your powers.

now you're facing the same problems as the heroes in the incredibles.

*joke about elastigirl*

Actually the moderators were expected to be anonymous on the forum I moderated before. There was a lot of "oh I bet it's so-and-so" which was just stupid - I wouldn't want that pressure again. And of course I'm not editing people's posts other than to fix broken quotes/pics (as Chris and Console do).

I have been reading this board for a fair while and I don't think that it needs any significant moderation as things stand. The only criticism I have is that too often threads get needlessly taken off topic (as this has, but I'll make an exception here :D ) far too easily with total waffle, which is particularly unnecessary when there is a section dedicated to rambling.

Other than that and one semi regular troll that should be banned I say leave it as it is.

PS, in order to keep things in this section on topic I would rename it "Chris Moyles Show Discussion" or words to that effect. General is too er, general.

My first episode of Doctor Who was David Tennant's first episode, I only recorded it to test out my new DVD recorder which I got for Christmas and the rest is history. But Matt Smith is just incredible, he plays the Doctor as a alien, which he is. I await the day they are on screen together.

am i right in thinking this is the first time this has ever been suggested on this forum?

why bother locking a thread when it's stimulating inoffensive conversation.

true, but he's been with the human race for many many years, which is why i liked it when tennant seemed to understand humans, and empathise - then occasionally step outside his earth loving ways.

looking forward to the next series.
