Missed this yesterday so listening to it now.

Im at the bit where he says he`s just recorded his tv show about the news stories of the week and hopefully no big stories break on the friday when the programme goes out.

As I`m listening breaking news on the tv has just come through about the Tsunami/Earthquake in Japan. 8O Weird.

His dvd is class, very funny guy. It`s on youtube I think, unless its been took down.

I dont think many comedians are in the slightest bit funny, but Kevin Bridges is better than most in my opinion. It wasnt the best interview I have ever heard, but it wasnt the worst.

Moyles made it far better than he would have a couple of years ago.

I love stand up comedy and Kevin Bridges does make me laugh.

What I find interesting, though, is the number of the current generation of comedians who are guesting on the show - I distinctly remember previously (a long time ago - possibly even on afternoons) Chris saying that there was a lot of resentment towards him from stand ups because he hasn't done the circuit (despite the fact that he's not actually a comedian.)

I'm sure it was Chris who I heard say that just a few weeks ago. I cant remember who he was talking to but I am sure he said it recently as well.

Maybe those stand ups think you have no right to be funny onn tv radio unless you have done the circuit. Seems odd.

I happened to hear the opening bit of his interview on Steve Wright yesterday afternoon, Wright asked the same Q as Moyles about how he got into comedy, and he gave the exact same answer, down to the word. I understand there are only so many ways you can structure an answer to a very stock question, but still, it struck me as a bit lazy.

I have noticed that before, especially with comedians. Most of the stuff they say in interviews is word for word what they have said before, quite often in their live shows. I used to be a big fan of Russell Brand, and most of his interviews were made up of his stand up material.

At least they are mostly not as lazy as Peter Kay, bringing out the exact same show on three different DVDs.

He was great on the times I've seen him on Mock The Week. Other than that, and the Moyles interview (obviously) I don't really watch any of his stuff. But then again, I don't watch any stand-up comedy really, unless it's Mock The Week or Good News. I never bothered with Live At The Apollo.
