Hi all, trying to download the Billie Piper interview and cant do so due to all programs seemingly down. Iplayer downloader does not work anymore, get_iplayer doesnt seem to work either and i have even tried radio downloader but get this message:

"unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application"

Even though i have the latest version.

How do you guys download the show? And also any chance someone can post the Billie Piper interview?

Thanks.

bmstinton and I both use Radio Downloader - I haven't had any probs with it altho I haven't downloaded the latest update so maybe there's a bug in that.

The Billie interview is already in the sound vault.

Yeah radio downloader worked fine for me about 4 or 5 hours ago. Also i uploaded the Billie interview as Nicola said but for some reason they aren't updating on the news and site updates.

Thanks for uploading the Billie interview, much appreciated!

Regarding radio downloader it seems you need to have .net framework version 2 (http://www.nerdoftheherd.com/tools/radiodld/ )on your computer to have it work? I have version 4 which i think seems to be the problem. Well thats the only reason i can think of right now, surely having version 4 when you only need version 2 should work?!

No, stupidly the .NET Framework versions are separate from each other and don't have backward compatibility; as a result you can have (and may require) .NET version 2 and .NET version 4 on the same machine.

Hi thanks for the reply.

So just to clarify, if i install .NET version 2 from this link (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/d ... laylang=en) it wont replace .NET version 4? Is it possible that they'll conflict with each other in any possible way? Sorry, not very computer savvy myself so would just like to confirm before i install.

Thanks.

Correct, they won't conflict with each other.

I have a problem with Radio Downloader this morning. It is stuck on the 'converting' screen for some reason. Anybody also had this problem?

Yeah I'm getting this as well. Takes a lot more time to download than usual and then gets stuck at conversion. Immensely irritating. :?

Mine has downloaded today's fine. It was still showing 'waiting' from that Radio 4 play that I set it to download yesterday, but I just clicked on it again and it started downloading it no probs. So I'm none the wiser. Also I used the word 'download' a lot there.

Did it not take longer than usual?

A lot of my marathon show downloads seem to be missing bits off the end - all the breakfast shows are missing 45mins at the very least. I'm gonna re-download and hope for the best!

I'm using Replay Media Catcher. It does cost, however, unless you get it from dodgy sources. But it downloads the raw FLV files with the native AAC audio file, so there's no further quality loss by downloading to mp3 as Radio Downloader does. As it happens, I also downloaded all the shows from Radio Downloader over the last 2 days and it worked flawlessly.

The interface is a tad unforgiving, the best way to go is to install it, and use the "Web PVR Manager" as it's a bit more user-friendly

It's a shame the bbc keep screwing around with it, and now we get these .aac files that neither iTunes nor my phone like. Anybody got a solution for this for mac?
