To be honest:

Open air - it's quite cold in the morning. I don't think many people would fancy/enjoy standing around watching a radio show.
Wembley - Filling a 200 capacity venue for their show is probably easy enough. But filling Wembley.. it's a nice thought, but I don't think that that many people would find time off work and be generally arsed to go to wembley at such an early time.

I'm sure we'll probably get the final installment of the epic 5 minute long 'chriiiis moyles show, chriiiis moyles show, chriiis moyles show' jingle.

Interesting summing up and there have been other striking finales. When Mark and Lard left in 2003 they had a massive final show with lots of celebrity recorded goodbyes and many recorded songs by big Artists. They also took Radio 1 off air with a 30 second silence and the emergency 'tape' with Black Eye Peas-Heya kicked in. Coxy was in the following show! Id love for someone who is techie to tell how that ended up and did a producer get a talking to?
