The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Heh, hearing back the show just now Chris mentioned how people park really close to the entrance of the shops, like as close as they can. I was like 'THIS REALLY ANNOYS ME AS WELL!' :D I can understand if you have a disability badge or you have kids you'll want to park nearer the entrance as that's where those special spaces are but I completely agree. Why do people do that? It just seems lazy.

</rant>

I did think it was interesting, though, because I've noticed it for ages.

If there's a space near the entrance why would you drive past it and park miles away? Parking at the other end of the car park isn't a problem, but realistically, if there are spaces close to you're going to use them.

I don't use designated bays though, not ever. When Baby Yudster was - well, a baby, it was a nightmare sometimes getting him in and out of the car when the car park was busy, and the parent and child spaces were all taken up by either wankers in sports cars who are scared they'll get scratched in a normal space or old people who think that they can do what the * they like just because they're old.

This is also something I hate about the dedicated bays. Along with the women or blokes who think because they have a child seat in the car (but no child), then they just drive right up, park and walk off. Would be good if the parking "attendants" ticketed these muppets instead of ignoring them.

Me too, clamp the *ers. When I go asda I never park near the store, don't even look at those spaces. I always try to find one near exit of carpark but next to a trolley park for swift trolley disposal once i've uploaded shopping to the car. The extra walk is no problem. Other shoppings dawdling around are more of an issue!

The people that annoy me the most......the people who stop in the parent and child spaces and wait in the car for the Mrs!

Oh my god, if you are not getting your kids out the car......you dont need a parent and child parking space

I always use the spaces which are at the far end of the Car Park. Normally the first 4 or five lanes are full of people looking for spaces, and queue all the way back, but if you go to the far end, the end where you would find the Beer end, then you can normally park at the front of these lanes, which means you are actually closer to the store than the tits in the Parent and child bays, and probably half of the disabled bays.

Either way though, parking does not make me angry in anyway shape or form, and for those of you for whom it does I suggest that you reconsider your priorities in life.

I don't think anyone should get special treatment because equality rules. Scrap designated spaces altogether! Most of them are empty all the time anyway!

No they aren't, it was always really hard finding a parent and child space when we needed one. And its not because they are nearer the shop you need one (because they aren't, they're miles away), its because its really hard getting babies and seats and shizzle in and out of your car when you only have enough space on either side to squeeze your own fat arse out.

Anyway, like I said, that one's in the past thank goodness.

stop talking rubbish Munki!

They are a very good idea and I can see why people need extra space to get young children out of a car or disabled people should get priority of being closer to the shops etc.

Parent and child spaces are never empty and I think they have to have a certain percentage of disabled spaces per car park

Yeah Munki, can tell you ain't got kids! Although if you keep them in the boot its less of a carpark issue.

Oh. Not something more along the lines of "Sainsbury's - where your shopping has doubled in price, tough shit!"

Yeah it actually is really expensive now but its still somehow managed to beat ASDA into 2nd place.

I wasn't suggesting that shopping in other supermarkets hadn't also doubled in price.

Those stats about who is cheaper are really misleading though - they only go on branded goods, and realistically most people buy shop's own brand for most things. That's actually one of the reasons I like Sainsbury's, their own brand stuff is significantly better than Tesco. Asda are supposed to be very good for own brand quality too.
#425830
They are usually only made using a sample amount of products i think. And also i prefer Sainsbury's basic range to Tesco value for most things and I've never tried ASDA'S as we don't have one here but they have started building one just before Christmas.

My dad is disabled and I had an orange badge (as it was then) when I was having my operations, so I'm always very sensitive to people parking in disabled spaces when they shouldn't be. That said, he doesn't normally have a problem parking as far as I know, so I don't think it's a huge issue. And he can always park on double yellows for up to 3hrs failing all else.
