If any half hour needs to changed its the first half hour of the golden hour, cant listen to it any more, have not for weeks, its a bit of joke really, they should make it that the second half where the team choose be a full hour instead. Sometimes it can be a bit samey with songs used a lot for tedious, but its better than this current crap format, just saying !!!

I would change the whole of the Golden Hour. It is terrible, especially if you don't like Chris's taste in music, which I don't. Today there were two songs that he dropped, Enigma and Inner City, which were far better than the tracks he played instead. I have lost count of the amount of times he has done that.

I know I have gone a bit off topic but the Golden Hour is apalling! Scott Mills does far better with the wonder years and floor fillers. I always feel deflated that a great weeks radio always ends on such a low.

So, yes I hope they change the final hour next Friday

I am actually a real fan of the golden hour when i am not at college and am able to hear it. It always puts me in a good mood for a Friday somehow

Radio 1 management is killing the Golden Hour with their 'no pre-1990 songs' rule.

There's only so much repetitive 90's dance music I can take.

That is probably the main reason why I think the Fridays shows are the worst of the week since a whole hour is wasted with music from the same old years and especially when the absolute crap dance music is on it at times. The show in Essex was in my opinion the best Friday show in a very long time and lord knows when that will come again. Just going to wait and see what this final half hour is. Hope its something interesting and not something where they plug the crap out of day in and day out.
