Anyone else on here have the new take that album and what do people think of it? I used to hate them but have fallen in love with them in recent years and now after i have had this album a couple of weeks it has really grown on me and i particularly like SOS which has been in my head all day. What does everyone else think of it?

I want it, if only for The Flood which I simply love. New Take That are stonkingly good.

I really like it; it's a lot edgier than their previous stuff and you can definitely hear Robbie's influence on the tracks. I wasn't a great fan of their previous albums since reforming but this is much grittier, I like it :P.

I wanted to go on the tour but couldn't get tickets. I still check every day to see if any have become available.

They will trickle them out over time - all that crap about millions sold in minutes is nonsense apparently - my brother in law works in the ticketing industry and he says its impossible to do that. Whatever, all I know is anything that says its sold out in days never actually IS. I will get some if I can too.

No, it won't be. They'll have about eight thousand on hold for press/guests/record company that they'll suddenly realise they don't need.

I don't like it. It sounds too much like Robbie Williams who is a pile of crap and his songs are all piles of crap so why they would want him to influence their tracks is beyond me. Apart from one song which is out now the rest is crap.

Ooh, maybe we will get tickets after all then. Must keep an eye out.

As your boyfriend said yesterday, music is subjective. I quite like it, but agree that it does sound like a Robbie Williams album. It's a much more grown up sound. Kidz is a great track.

You can definitely hear Robbie's influence but it sounds more like Robbie's Rudebox album than anything else he has done.

I used to have exactly the same opinion as you but in the last few years I have grown to like them and am now not afraid to say it but many people still seem to have the sterotypical view of them that they are a crappy boy band.

Well I managed to get mine after about 50 minutes of waiting so yeah they obviously cant have sold in minutes. I'm sure they will announce more dates eventually as well as there are still gaps between shows which they could fill.

Even my sisters said that after the first listen and they are massive fans of take that but I honestly believe that this album is a grower. you should try listening a few more times.

Robbie did some brilliant stuff solo. I suppose the Guy Chambers stuff was the best in that it was more accessible pop music, but the later albums were musically excellent, and I liked them. The re-formed Take That pre-Robbie's return was miles better than anything they did years ago and now the new stuff WITH Robbie is another step in a new direction again. I love it.

I think Robbie's best stuff was escapology and then also swing when your winning. And live at knebworth was just brilliant and showed what an amazing performer he is

I have not brought the album as I cannot stand the massive ego ******* that is Robbie Williams.

What was Gary Barlow thinking when he took back this p***k ? .... oh yes, all the copious amount of money, to go on another tour and re-edit song with Robbie Williams in it to take more money !!

Totally different from the Circus, miles better than anything Robbie has done recently. Love it.

I thought it was quite bland to be honest. I preferred Rudebox - at least he was trying something there.

Sat and today are up
