I know Aled is unwell and I hope he is back soon, but Sam has been very good this week I thought. Given that Aled recently said that the team had wanted her to have a more "on air" presence, but that she was unwilling, she's really stepped up and I think she sounds like she's been broadcasting all her life. I hope she doesn't disappear again when Aled comes back.

I agree, apart from the sining she has done really well. Like hearing her Essex tones more often, and she does the whole 'rachel keeping them in line' without sounding as wingey.... Tis good.

Weirdly, I read that as "That will piss on his lego"

I like Aled more than I used to, but I prefer Sam

Does Aled like Lego?

I think Sam has taken to being part of the team very naturally and quickly and that's probably a lot harder than it would seem to be. I hope she stays on air too.

I agree, Sam has been very good this week. She has a funny speaking voice as well, which I like :D I cant say that I prefer her to Aled, though.

It has been a great week this week anyway. Chris has been on top form and I found every show really funny. The Peter Kay interview and the Fincham stuff yesterday were brilliant.

I really enjoyed Sam this week as most of you seemed to also. Loved yesterday though when she sang and Chris just went "Jesus Christ, you've got to be kidding me!" Haven't heard the karaoke part from today's show yet due to sleeping after night-shift. Plus I am a fan of her Essex accent, find it quite cute.

From what I've listened to this week seemed to be a good week overall because sometimes I tend to listen to all the shows from a week and none of them were memorable but this week that was not the case especially Wednesday's. I do hope that Sam becomes more vocal and that when Aled returns.

I agree also...Sam has been very good this week, I only hope we hear more of her. I think she may find her confidence to appear more...I do hope so.

I think my views on producers contributing to radio shows are clear by now...(I favour it!) and I think Sam has been great this week. Sadly though I think as soon as Aled comes back, she'll shrink straight back off-mic again. I hope she doesn't, but I guess not everyone is comfortable on-air.

Sara Cox is really funny towards her producers when she covers for Fearne, as she talks to them directly, not giving a damn about whether they want to be on-air or not :D Most of the time they give short answers and hope she'll leave them alone! *cough* Stewie *cough*

As much as I love Aled, and fear him reading this on here, I really have liked Sam's prominence this week and didn't notice Aled's absence on-air as much as I thought I would. I'm sure his work behind the scenes is missed though and is probably unappreciated by listeners. :P

Did someone pee on Matt's hair?

This week has been great, I think it still would have been if Aled was in.
I think if Aled was there Thursday he would have been laughing as much as Tina was during the Matt Fincham, Saturday Night Fever music.
Ah that was really, really funny! Oh did Tina open up a can of worms with her answer! Then Chris was quick with the disco music and rapping.
I think that should be submitted for a Sony Radio Award. That was one of my favorite bits in the last few months. I've enjoyed other banter and guests but that was super funny. That's one fan's thoughts.

Have to say this is exactly what I've been thinking,...having an on air producer in the 'Rachel mould' (who doesn't have their own show and ego* etc) seems to give it a little more balance.

*That's not to say I don't like Aled but just preferred when he'd turn up at about 9 but with Rachel 'in charge'.

I agree completely. Sam has been very good on air. I wasn't expecting her to be this good this fast since she had never shown any desire to ever be on air before. The singing was absolutely epic.

Will they be able to get Matt to wear a white suit like John Travolta did?
Maybe they can bribe him by saying they will stop playing the disco music if he wears the white suit once.

Sam was sure quick to jump in and answer yes when Chris asked her, "Do princesses pump?"
Her response was so fast, I got a real laugh out of it.

As far as the Cheryl Cole farting thing, I had to take a look at a video to determine for myself.
I laughed at how many videos are posted about her farting on X Factor. Not the publicity you want when farting is involved! ha ha
