A lot of us consider the opening link of the show to be the best part of the show. I am on that side since it is always interesting to listen to and can be really funny or just completely random stuff. Now, I am wondering if any of you have a favourite opening link for this year. The one that springs to mind for me is the Tuesday 4th May show after the Bank Holiday where Pete Tong took over and plays clips of that show and the team just cringing at how bad (not to mention hilarious) it was. The one on the 26th of the same month where Chris had a bit of a rant about this forum was entertaining also. I am sure there are other ones that I can't recall being pretty entertaining but those are the two I have in my head.

Think my favourite, purely for the entertainment & not the situation, was the pay rant one.

I remember that Pete Tong show was funny - it was on a Tuesday so they were doing the Pub Quiz, and it totally failed. When Chris was talking about it the next day it was hilarious. I can't remember when that was though.

Probably the pay rant one. The one about this forum and Chris saying he couldn't do the show much longer was good too, if a bit painful to listen back to!. The Pete Tong one was one of my least favourite opening links of all time. i hated it and didn't find it funny at all, but actually rather disrespectful.

When I heard about the whole pay rant, I was saying to myself, "This oughta be good!" Honestly, I thought it would have been better but the whole ranting for 30 mins spiel by the media was exaggerating as it was more along the lines of 15-20 mins. Yes I know it would be painful for you about the forum one since he did mention you! I can see where you're coming from with the Pete Tong issue anyway but just enjoyed the team's reactions at him screwing up like he was going to know all the buttons and prompts etc.

Yeah, whilst I know no malice was intended by Moyles towards Tong, it just seemed a bit 'off' to me the way he did it. I thought Chris went a bit too far that morning. It was humourous but took the mockery too far in my opinion.

I know I may well be in the minority with that one, though.

Don't have it, wish I did. It was when Tong did Moyles' show on one of those bank holiday takeover things, & he was talking all over vocals & just made a complete mess of everything

There were one or two really good ones which I can't remember specifically, I suppose the one where he had a go at the forum was good and then the pay one.

Like others, I despised the one after Pete Tong. In fact it really got my back up, especially the talentless ******* prat Vitty doing that fecking stupid honk laughing all the way through it as if he'd ever have the balls to speak for 2 mins never mind take on the show. Nasty stuff.

I think the first opening link of the year I can vaguely remember been pretty good but don't think I have that show anymore since it wasn't a great show after that.

Yeah, I assume there would be haters for the Pete Tong one, which I can understand anyway for people who found it disrepectful and that. Hopefully the opening links for next week will be good ones as well and will be able to watch them all live since I am off next week from work.
