anyone else noticed Radio 1 are playing a lot more previously specialist types of music at Mainstream times?

i woke up yesterday to Chris playing some DnB "Ill Behavior" track, I thought I woke up early and it was still some Graveyard shift show.

It's Ill Behaviour by Danny Byrd

I think Radio 1 is branching out on the music style a bit. I like it, I get bored listening to the same playlist all day anyway

Definitely. I think the chart stuff is very narrow in terms of genres - they're all pop/r&b and it gets boring.

So do I, in fact I often skip past the music when I listen to the show on iPlayer. For me, it's only in the evenings that the music gets more interesting.

I do that in Music lessons, make the loudest club/DnB music I can on 'Band in a Box' - easy, turn 'drums' and 'bass' up, tempo up, volume MAX, everything else minimum/off :)

Band in a Box? Whats that.....

We used to have someone on a recorder, someone playing symbols and someone with a triangle......

this then progressed to us playing chop sticks on a keyboard

and eventually playing the entertainer on a keyboard (I can still play that now, and very proud I am as The Sting is one of my fave films of all time)

It connects to the keyboard via a USB cable, and you can make it play your own music, e.g. choose a base, tweak it a bit, such as change the level on the bass, guitar etc, record your music on the keyboard, paste it over the top of your base beat, then export as a .mp3, then you're done. Check it out, google it.

Cool :) Music at my school isn't the best so I didn't choose it :? Didn't take ICT either and now I'm beginning to regret it...but I am going off-topic.

this forum has a habit of going off-topic! I'm really into cars, and my uncle is a Regional Aftersales Manager for GM, so I'm probably going to take ICT,Buisness Studies, and Engineering. (I'm not too sure on how many options you can take)

It varies from school to school. I did Music, History, Food and French on top of the core subjects, Citizenship, PE and RE.

Yeah, different schools have different timetables and different amounts of teachers, so that all makes a difference. I am doing French, Triple Science, and History as well as the core subjects.
