Well this was really annoying me, how I knew the song, but didn't know why....

.. then I found this

(which apparently got the song to re-enter the chart at #70.

I've not seen the advert, but Birdhouse in Your Soul is a brilliant song.

"Not to put too fine a point on it, say I'm the only bee in your bonnet" is one of my all time favourite lyrics of any genre of music. Genius.

"You could have your choice of men, but I could never love again" is probably mine... no Googling, first person to get the song wins... well, nothing really.

I knew that too. Say what you like about Dolly Parton, that women has written some amazing songs.

Yes, but the person that wrote the play that my aunt was in (Girl's Night it was called) wanted to use one of her songs in the play and Dolly Parton's agent basically priced them out, saying they wanted a certain percentage of the takings of the entire play if they were going to use it.

When it toured, it had Gwyneth Strong (Cassandra from Only Fools and Horses) and some woman from Eastenders in it, but my aunt was in the Milton Keynes Theatre production (and the original, which was put on at her drama group). It's touring America now I think.
