A lot of us love the first half hour when they just talk without any features. I think the rest of the show show should be pretty much the same.

aye, that is the best bit of the show generally. (I was pissing myself at the riffs about shearer's party). The only thing that annoys me about this new feature is that at some point during the first half hour, the conversation has to be stopped to announce the lines are open, and the rules and regulations. And the line of conversation stops.

The feature itself I just don't particularly care about, it's really short (for such a big buildup) and it's gonna end on friday so it doesn't matter. If it was done continuously, it could run on for ages, there's something going on on sun fm called secret sound (which is basically this feature, but you win cash, and you have to guess what the sound is) that's been running for months now.

not gonna complain too much mind, I was a little tired of where am I. Aled's little 'where do I work" game was good mind, even if it was a total rip off :p

Chris was saying almost exactly that this morning - had a nice little rant about it actually, most enjoyable.

I really disliked this morning's contestant - notwithstanding that he was a repo man who seemed not to "get" that his job invites controversy at best (they tried to chat about it but he wasn't really listening) he was pretty creepy about Tina - if he was doing it for comedy effect that would be one thing, but I got the impression this bloke was devoid of any sense of humour, he was a weirdo. I think he even creeped the team out, I kept expecting them to start ripping into him but they held back - I think they were scared!

I think Celebrity Raspberry will go like "Secret Student" and be dropped, Chris might as well say to the audience Im thinking of a number between 1 and a 50000000 call me now to guess.

Do you meant Secret Squirrel? if you do that was a great little feature, although they did spot a flaw with it on air (for example if the bloke said his secret was that he had an affair & it turned out that that wasn't the secret she knew then there'd be fireworks on air ) unfortunately they got bored of it & it got dropped very quickly.

However "The Great Receptionist Stopwatch Challenge" lasted a bit longer & was a nice little feature, as was "Whose Round Is It Anyway?"

As for this one, I really don't like it to be honest (notice Chris had a little moan at the board again this morning ) just because it's dull. Did find Chris' little rant funny though (as Yudster mentioned above).

I had it in my head since Wednesday's show that it was Westwood and when Chris was going on about listening to it carefully today, it couldn't be anyone else. I ain't fussed on the feature but at least I got it right.

And I personally think you're right. Nobody seems to have noticed it's the first feature on 1FM to give out prizes since Jo Whileys producer named the Blue Peter cat

Although I think the game is pants, this weeks sounds like that BBC DJ that Chris plays a clip of laughing.

You know the one.
I think it's Matt someone (not Fincham), and Chris has been playing that clip for the last few weeks.
It's the wheezy intake of breath on the Raspberry that sounds like the wheeziness (?) on the laughter clip.

I don't listen to any other DJ besides Chris on Radio 1, so I've no idea what his name is, but I'm sure there are plenty of you here who know the clip I'm talking about, and the name of the DJ.

If I'm right, I want a mug.

This feature doesn't bring out anything from the team. Pub Quiz, CPC and WAI get the team involved but this is just dead air to me. And I don't like the way they interrupt the opening half hour to promote the thing and open the lines.

I see the first 30 mins as everyone collectively waking up together and easing into the morning, and this raspberry thing just spoils it. Before 7am it should just be team waffling and nothing else.

I agree, I just can't get into Celebrity Raspberry at all, as I said seeing how Celebrity Tarzan divided the audience I'm surprised it's come back.
