The challenge cup semi final today, (sunday) kicks off at 3:30pm on bbc2.
Challenge cup holders warrington wolves will take on bottom of the league catalan dragons at the stobart stadium in widnes.
Catalan dragons will be full strength after a terrible injury crisis and warrington will be trying too avenge their defete too the team from 2 weeks ago...

Come support warrington too their 2nd challenge cup final in 2 years, and their 2nd in 34 years with fast, entertaining rugby.

I am a warrington fan and we have come leaps and bounds in the last 18 months, winning the challenge cup for the first time since 1974 last year and sitting 2nd in the league after a disappointing 2 years in 8th in 08 and 10th in 09.

I've only started taking an interest in rugby league since I married a northerner. I decided to support Wigan - I like the colours.

Maybe we can rely on quincy as a bradford fan, who i guess hates leeds. too hand his neutral support too. :D :D

I'll be supporting Wire too. Leeds are so deseperate for the cup, it's quite amusing how they deny it. Not that I'm jealous or owt - I'n quite happy with Bradford having a record-breaking season having lost 11 on the trot and counting.

Ah but I'm far too much of a novice in these matters to know who I am supposed to hate just because I like Wigan. And - Pies? Wires? Translation please? Take pity on the southerner?

Wiganers are known as Pie-eaters - not because they eat loads of pies (although they do have nice ones round there) but when there was a miners strike about 80 years ago, the Wiganers caved in and went back to work while people from other areas (Leigh etc) stayed on strike. Thus the Wiganers were "eating humble pie" and pie-eaters became an insult, although I think that's now something they embrace.

Wire are Warrington - never knew why until I just wiki-ed it and it's because they used to produce a lot of steel wire in factories there.

I was talking about the players rather than the fans. The fans can think what they want, it doesn't affect how the team plays.
