What did you think of that race Wireman? Was that a boring procession?

It. Was actually. Not such a possession. As the possession before.

Surely in China it would be Panda-ing?

That pun made my morning. I haven't watched the race yet, but what is happening for Team Red Bull? Vettel keeps getting pole position and losing.

Between them Vettell, Button and Hamilton are proving that qualifying and racing are two very different skills.

Me: I wonder if Schumacher hates Nico Rosberg.
Joe: Michael Schumacher hates every one.

While it is a very different skill, this is the first race where Vettel has been beaten by someone else; in the others he was beaten by his own car (except the last race, which he won.)

I enjoyed the race yesterday. It helped by the couple of safety cars and the weather changing. I think if it wasn't for those factors it would have been a bit tedious.

Finally, a win for Webber! After Hamilton's wheel went out, Joe said, "If only Alonso would crash now." Sadly, not to be...

Schumacher had a pretty impressive performance.

Hamilton was dead unlucky. Webber gave a world champion's drive, really... shame he can't do that every week.

What makes the Red Bull cars so much faster than everybody else? How are they going to be even faster for Turkey?

Because they have arguably the greatest designer in the history of designing racing cars, Adrian Newey. He was at Williams while they were winning, he moved to McLaren and they started winning (during which time Damon Hill said that the only way to stop McLaren from winning was to give Adrian Newey early retirement) and then he moved to Red Bull and look - it's the car to beat. The word genius is over-used, but in his case I think it's entirely justified.

Gutted for Lewis. Real shame that.

And yea, Adrian Newey is a certified genius.

Was Hamilton unlucky or was his blow out because he didn't drive appropriately given the distance he knew he would have to go on that set of tyres? I was so annoyed, I wanted him to do well and it would have been a very good result for him.

We were wondering who Hamilton would blame for it. Didn't hear though.

I also need to give props Vettel for finishing the race with a damaged break disc. I was sure he was going to crash or let Schumacher overtake him.

Yeah, never mind this "oh unlucky Lewis", where's the "oh unlucky Sebastian"? Yet another race ruined by a dodgy car. The fact he finished at all is testament to his driving ability.

Unlucky Jensen!

That was a crazy race this week. Webber was amazing despite all the safety cars. What's up with Shumacher?

Schumacher did better, but not good enough... I have to say, I think it was harsh to penalise him, I thought Ross Brawn's argument (though it pains me to say it) was the correct one. I can't see Schumacher carrying on past the end of the season unless he improves dramatically between now and then.

Monaco is always the most boring race of the season. So glad its over.

Yeah, I found myself thinking the same watching the race.

Firstly, the circuit is way too dangerous, compared with the crazy additions all other curcuits have had to make to keep their acreditation.

Secondly, the circuit is way to $hit to allow proper racing. F1 suffers from follow-m-leader at the best of times, put 'em all on a circuit no wider than my johnson and it just gets silly.

If it wasn't for all the rich nobs and the associated sponsorship gubbins lining the pockets of those who make the decisions it would be long gone.

Boring, boring, boring.....

Schumacher being punished for the rules being too vague to be properly interpreted has pretty much killed the last of my enthusiasm for the sport. The race on Sunday was boring as all hell, the safety car kept trying in vain to make it interesting, the crashes were the only non-boring part of the race and if I wanted to watch them I'd watch demolition derby... the pit stops kinda made strategies interesting but again you get more interesting strategies in a game of chess...

And then more or less the only overtaking move of the whole race gets not only cancelled out, but it ruins Schumacher's chance of points. Even if they'd said "okay, Schumacher was wrong but its our rule that's to blame so we'll just declare that pass as null and put them back the way they were" then I could have accepted it but to punish him with a 20 second penalty which put him to the back of the finishers thanks to the safety car... no, too much.

The sport is a joke now, and I've had enough.

Brilliant, what a result. I laughed so hard when the Red Bulls took each other off I nearly poo'd m'sen. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa hahahaha! Pleased to see the R-Bulls beaten, not that I especially wish bad fortune on them, I just dunny like it when one team/driver runs away with things. T'was what made the Shoe-maker days so boring.

Nice to see Lewis not take any crap when JB briefly took the lead, asserting a little authority.

They aren't running away with it though, it's wide open! McLaren are actually leading the contructor's championship now.
