Lactating Man Nips' choice is rather more recent.

Fill yer boots!

Haha - Boboff, I bet Yudster would have had that if you hadn't.

Erotic, Erotic, Put your hands all over Bill Oddie... it's Erotica by Madonna.

Purely so I could do the Bill Oddie gag. And the fact I couldn't pick anything else decent.

Indeed I would - although this comes a close second - or maybe even wins. The Shamen, LSI (Love, Sex, Intelligence)

Well after five stonking albums the inevitable introspection set in and the band almost split over their new direction. This one marks the tipping point beyond which the dirge pisses over the legacy of what came before. Hardly their best song but certainly a good enough cherry atop a decade of uncomprimising brilliance.

Live audio from their spiritual home of Slane Castle

P.S. It's not about loved-up togetherness but about splitting up.

I'm glad someone chose that. One of the best vocalists ever at the absolute peak of her powers. It was on my list, as was Under the Bridge.

Seeing as Charlalottie beat me to it, I'm going for the second best song released in 1992 -
Shakespear's Sister - Stay

Some nu-metal-punk to get you in a seasonal mood. Probably recognisable by any gamester (e.g GTA-San Andreas), the last minute of which could be the ringtone for most angst-ridden teenagers or indeed double-entry book-keepers. A bit NSFW and angrrry. Played by R1 on Top40 show to a torrent of complaints - 'Rage Against The Machine'.

Sorry - poll's up now. I went for Nirvana - Lithium myself:

Oh - I only accepted Lactating Man Nips' first choice.

My heart ruled my head in the end and I have voted for Whitney.

I always preferred other Guns n Roses songs to November Rain, so for that reason, I'm out.

And voting for my theme song. I'm good at taking rain with me wherever I go.
