I get paid weekly so I need to wait till Friday to finish my christmas presents off but I have a few presents to get Chris and 2 presents to get for others and I'm done. I was saying to Yudster earlier on the phone whenever I go to get one certain thing I see something else I like and think oh well it's only an extra tenner.

I've bought presents for my sister and her husband and given them to them already as they're spending Christmas at their own place up in Lossiemouth with their dogs (*cough*tries not to grumble despite the fact that said sister was in Iraq last Christmas so had been looking forward to spending it with her this year*cough*), and my Mum also. So that leaves Dad, other sister and whichever of my friends I'm going to be able to buy for. That's always a difficult decision. I wish I was really good at knitting or making pottery or something.

I have parties to look forward to on each of the two Fridays before Christmas (one work, one in the University Chemistry department as my flatmate is inviting me), and a work Christmas lunch as well.

What I'm not looking forward to is my gym closing this week for a month for refurbishment, as I've been trying so hard to lose a few pounds before the party season and I'm not there yet. ...And a few family matters, which may or may not make an appearance on the Annoying thread over the next few weeks.

Actually, it's filled with trying to factor in people disappearing off on holiday to use up their allocation, and has been or several weeks now. Mainly on Fridays.

I should probably start shopping actually.

I got my holidays approved last week - it means, for the first time since I left school, I will be off for a full week at Christmas!! Yaldy!

I also get New Years day off but that's not so important. Image

They be coming!

Haven't started Christmas shopping yet, and have no idea what we are doing over the festive season... am sure we will end up going to a family members house, or might just have the day togeather at home and see everyone on Boxing day...

I've got all my presents except for a dvd for my aunt which I'll have to wait til next payday to get. I don't feel remotely Christmassy yet tho, and I don't really think I will for a couple weeks yet. At this time of year I'm just eating, sleeping and breathing ice rink! I'll just be doing the usual for xmas, going to my parents' for a couple days. I quite wanna go and see the Grimm Tales at the Library theatre, but their website isn't working at the moment so I need to make time to call in at the box office and see what tix they have left.

I have now spent some time, and a disproportionately large amount of money, Christmas shopping. And I accidentally ordered two of something that I only want one of, so Baby Yudster's best friend is going to get a very nice combined birthday/Christmas present at his party on the 23rd..........

Tried that once, got everyone a bottle of their favourite drink, actually that's a good idea :D

If you can't think of something that makes you go "ooh, that would be really good for her/him" then don't bother. I love the favourite drink idea, its always a winner!

You can't lose with booze. :D I can't wait for the Doctor Who specials but I'm sad like that.

 Neither can I, to be honest after Planet Of The Dead I was dreading the next couple of stories, I found that one so poor. However Waters Of Mars was great so really looking forward to The End Of Time, especially with the mighty Cribbins in them :)

Also considering all the set reports I've read the 11th Doctor is going to have a superb 1st series :)

Anyway back to Christmas, I think booze is definitely the right option, when I came back from Hong Kong I felt a bit bad as I hadn't bought any souvenirs back, however a quick trip to duty free, three bottles of spirit later & it was smiley faces all round :)

Got my last few presents to order online and i'm all done. Hardly spent a penny on Xmas presents this year as no one seems to want anything. You won't hear me complaining... :)
