boboff's Scottish comment could be classed as xenophobia over racism yes, it doesn't discount the fact it was a stupid and thoughtless thing to say. I may not be from Glasgow, but lowering a discussion to someone's accent is both sad and unnecessary.

Not really. If you know anything about Boboff you will know that the life he has had has been nothing if not rich and fascinating, and the life he now has is considerably fuller and probably (I suspect more than probably actually) more rewarding than most of the rest of us could boast, now or in the future.

He was joking Bonan. Its totally understandable that you didn't find it funny, but it was still just a joke.
