Anyway, whats up with your PSN, I been playing online no problems...? Up to rank 13 so far. It was funny to see the people on Tuesday evening who had obviously done nothing but play it since midnight monday night, all through the day. By the time I got online at 3pm, some people had already got up to rank 42/43 ish (out of 50). Hardcore Nutters!

Tis a good old blast, if only a tarted up CoD4....

After playing this for a little while online i wasn't too impressed. But the more I play it I find myself starting to enjoy it.

The maps seem very big and there seems to be a lot of camping/sniping which isn't really my game. I'm far too gung ho.

The campaign seems very good, really enjoying the storyline too.

Whats everyones thoughts on this?

Online is awesome, be it free for all, Team Deathmatch, or playing the special ops with a mate, there's so much to do. I'm getting annoyed being slaughtered by people who are already up to rank 50 though and some of the maps are massive!

The game itself seems a bit 'Arcadey', but it's so slick and nice to play,even if it is a little short - 6 hours to complete it for some people

I can see me playing this for a long time before i get bored

I have a couple of hours, do I keep it myself and go get him something else? Every review I've read about it has given it 10 outta 10, is it really that good?
I've never played a Call Of Duty game before, is this a good place to start?

The thing with Call of Duty is you can jump in at anytime and not lose anything. It is a VERY good game.

If you want it just to play single player, dont bother, my mate completed it in 6 hours so it's not very long. If you are going to play online however, that's a different matter - it's all about the online gaming.

I don't get what all the hype's about. Yes it's an ok game, but come on! It's not really that different from Modern Warfare 1 as far as I can see.

Oh yeah, it is very much just more of MW1, but tarted up slightly, and thats no bad thing as MW1 was good too.

Its a good sandbox blaster. Although I must disagree with the comments on here anout how 'big' the maps are...?! They are small, all of them, based on the fact this is a foot soldier only game (multiplayer), so the maps are kept small to ensure haking everywhere doesn't get tedious. But, if you enjoy your online gaming, this should keep you entertained for a good while.

Even though I enjoy the CoD games, I really prefer Battlefield Bad Company (PS3 and *Box), for the exact reason above. This game includes vehicles, both ground and air, hence the maps are much larger, add these two elements together and I believe it makes for a better shooter. Bad Company 2 due in March '10, by the way....

i was slightly dissapointed with it really. just the same as mw1 with different maps and overcomplicated perks/streaks/add ons etc. plus the good things about waw were the leaderboards and how you could have a party they havent incorperated this into the game. im more excited about waw 2 now tbh

PS3 online has had a few bad days, and yesterday i was stabbing people, but it took 2 seconds for it to respond, bloody thing

I'll check my stats when i go online in a bit, but i know i'm on Level 46. I started out using the Sub Machine guns, but i was getting absolutley slaughtered, so i've switched to the TAR 21 Assault Rifle with FMR and Red Dot Sight, and that seems to have helped my kill/death ratio massively. I'm also using Semtex.
I'm just waiting until i get to level 48 so i can get the ACR

I think they need to get some map packs out, i'm getting kinda bored with the ones that came on the game, and some of them are far too big, especially when you have 4 players playing in Estate or Quarry on a free for all.


It's all about Headquarters and Domination though
