Got this idea from another thread, but here we go, lets have your bestest film quotes, see if they can all be identified.....

I'll start off with a few:

"Let off some steam, Bernard"

"I think you underestimate the sneakyness"

and

"Lets try that again, less oops"

dimtimjim wrote:"Let off some steam, Bernard"
- Similar to Commando, but I don't think his name was Bernard

dimtimjim wrote:"Lets try that again, less oops"
- Independence Day?

I thought that, but I think it was:
"Let's try that again."
"Yes, without the oops."

I have a couple from the same film...

"I hope I give you the shits, you * wimp."
"We are now up against live, hostile targets. So, if Little Red Riding Hood should show up with a bazooka and a bad attitude, I expect you to chin the bitch."

"Oh, this is Cousin Paddy. He's coming to stay with us a while. Isn't that nice?"

"We don't have a Cousin Paddy."

"You lied to me!"

As a film studies graduate, I love this thread :D

"Walter, just stand outside so Chief can translate my Iraqi ass map... okay? "

"Smokey my friend, you are entering a world of pain."

"The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist."

"Entering without a search warrant, destroying property, arson, sexual assault with a concrete dildo...? What the hell were you doing there in the first place?"

The only film quotes I can reel off without googling first are:

"Excuse me, do you have any Grey Poupon?"

"A sphincter says what?"

"It will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine."

"We fear change."

and so on and so forth...

Big Lebowski - I'd recommend it as I would all the other Coen Brothers' films.

Mine was Dog Soldiers, which I would also recommend.

Wow - I didn't think anyone else had seen Dog Soldiers!

Cracking film. It's one of these "it's so bad it's great" movies.

'You're a big man but you're in bad shape. For me it's a full-time job. Now behave yourself.'

'Ilsa, I'm no good at being noble, but it doesn't take much to see that the problems of three little people don't amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world. Someday you'll understand that.
Now, now...
Here's looking at you kid.'

I'd also like to heartily second The Big Lebowski as a triumph of cinematography.

See, I don't know whither that means you like it or hate it - Barrymore is well known for his swimming pool antics so it would be fair to say that he likes swimming pools. However, the antics also ended his career so it would also be fair to say that he hates them.

Basically, make more sense.
