Hi guys,

I know I'm a new poster, but I've been viewing this board for quite some time, and this is a bit cheeky but due to a data corruption issue (or me just deleting it by accident, I have lost my recording of last Mondays Chris Moyles show. I usually use iPlayer downloader to get it but now this mondays show has gone out I can't get it any more.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have every single show since late 2003!

I don't have it unfortunately as my computer blew up 2 weeks ago, however I'm rather intreagued (sp) by the last 2003 stuff, do you have any afternoon shows from 2003 that you care to share at all please

I'll have to check exactly when i started recording by looking at my backup drive, but if memory serves it is the week before greyhead left in 2003 (early Sept?). They're all edited to have the music removed and to make them smaller. I'll get back to you exactly what I do have...

Yeah I know, I have everything from about May/June, more or less, up to (I think) 25th September, however because the motherboard blew up the next day I didn't manage to capture any from there after (actually 18th September may be the last day) so I'm a bit annoyed as I've missed over a whole weeks worth now. However I hope to have a PC back up and running tomorrow evening (although unfortunately won't be mine) .

If you have any of that stuff with Will (especially edited), that would be great. I can add it to the archive & will give you full credit for each show you share, if you're ok with that of course

Someone else should have the show on here, somewhere, enough people on here seem to download them anyway

Speaking of the i-player downloader... has anyone else had issues with it? since october started cannot download anything... just says, and I quote

This probably means that the programme does not exist. "

Yes, I went on the download page for the program, it said they know threes a problem, but cant do anything about it until the 10th, when the creator is back from holiday.

Yes it should be the one with Mika, if memory serves.

I mainly use MegaUpload found here http://www.megaupload.com/. You have to register but once done you should be able to upload anything fairly large. Then you should be able to send the link.

You are of course welcome to try something else, but i don't have my own hosting, and don't really know of many other free fileservers.

when ipdl isn't working (which it isn't) i usually try get_iplayer. it's a console app, but it serves it's purpose http://linuxcentre.net/getiplayer/download/

If ever you have a problem with iPlayer Downloader your first port of call should always be http://po-ru.com/projects/iplayer-downloader to re-download the programme. If you've already done that then apologies, but that normally solves any issues with me.

If ever you have a problem with iPlayer Downloader your first port of call should always be http://po-ru.com/projects/iplayer-downloader to re-download the programme. If you've already done that then apologies, but that normally solves any issues with me.

because of a recent update on iplayer it's not working, gotta wait for the guy to come off of holiday to update it.

I've checked my drive and the earliest dated show I have is Tuesday the 16th of Sep 2003, I have two before that, one with athlete in the live lounge and one with "stars in their ices" but I don't know the dates for those. I now (once i've finished downloading) have all shows since then, apart from one blip on Wednesday the 17th of Aug 2007 where a power cut meant I lost the last half hour.

I'm still confused. What show had that blip you were referring to? Are you talking about 17th June 2007? Which was a Sunday?! Or perhaps a Wednesday - either 13th or 20th June 2007?

I've really gotta stop posting in the mornings, having a 10 week old boy really screws with my mind. I mean (and i've just checked) the 18th of July 2007 (that's where I got August from, i read the 8 in 18) is where the blip is, it happened without me noticing and by the time I did notice it was too late (I'm currently almost a year and a half behind editing down the shows to remove the music.

Anyway, hope that's clearer... I have just checked and there was a Wednesday the 18th of July (i hope).
