Aiden McGeady needs a slap. After all the bitching and moaning about Eduardo earlier in the week, he goes and gets himself sent off for a second booking for diving. And it was. Tit.

At least we won.

Bloody Arsenal, we can never seem to beat Man Utd away, * goalie gave away that sodding penalty & Diaby, after doing great last week at Portsmouth headed it into his own goal for no * good reason, Gah!

Anyway, next game :)

Back to the Premiership this weekend, if there's one thing I hate about the start of the season it's all the international gaps as there's far too many...

We're away to Wigan this weekend (we being West Ham), I'd take a point up there but fear we'll get beaten as Wigan are due a result.

So, we've got Chelsea already banned from signing anyone, Man United fighting off allegations from France for similar things, and Crewe now saying Liverpool have been tapping.

Oi, Murdoch and co! Stop giving these crooks so much money! You're ruining the game!

I agree, I dislike the divide between the top half of the Premiership & the bottom half of the Premiership, there's only about 8-10 teams who are guaranteed to stay up each year. There are so many big teams in the Championship now that the divide between the bottom ten in the Premiership & the top fifteen of the Championship is minimal. I think there was a rumour, at one stage, of a new league been created between the Premiership & the Championship but I think it was just rumours & there was no proof in it.

I think that although Wenger does mention the "lack of cash" thing for not being able to buy the more (ridiculously overpriced) players, I also think that he's trying to prove that you can have a decent team without spending over £15million per player.

See there you're asking a crook to stop giving crooks money.

Fifa has revealed that Fiorentina have been in contact with them about Manchester United's signing of 16-year-old defender Michele Fornasier.

Looks like Man United are in trouble now, tut tut !!! :D

I'm going with Chelsea to win the League, Hull, Wolves & Portsmouth to be relegated...

There's more to football than the Premiership you know. The League 1 play-offs are far more interesting!

Shit, i'm not even convincing myself here.........

So, Scotland - Fail. Wales - Fail. Northern Ireland - Need Snookers. England - obviously going to win the World Cup now according to the media hype. I'm mean, they've won ALL their group games!

Sigh. I'm bored with this same old story. At least Poland finally sacked that Dutch tube that's been in charge of defensive blunder after defensive blunder.

I was hoping Scotland was going to win last night, it would make a nice change to have more than just one British Isles team in a Euro/World Cup.

Technically thought, can't Republic of Ireland still qualify too? United Kingdom wise, England are only hope, but British Isles wise, there is still Republic of Ireland.

Am looking forward to club football again though,am even giving League One football a go tomorrow night. Off to see Southend hopefully beat Leeds

England won't win it, but I would love it if they did because the Scots and the Welsh and the Irish would be SO pissed off.

I wonder who will win it though? You have to admit that looking at the form throughout the group stages not just in Europe but everywhere else too, England's results look massively better than anyone elses right across the board. Who else is showing form? Anyone know how Italy and France are looking? What about Brazil? Argentina are struggling to qualify aren't they? Weirder and weirder. Oooh what about Germany?

Surely Holland's 100% record matches England's? I know Holland had an easy group, but given England have been generally unconvincing (English pundits said so on Saturday after the friendly so must be true as they know all...) you have to assume they've had an easy group too.

Italy have been struggling but will still make it and probably make the latter stages as always, France are rubbish but again will probably make it, Germany are... well, Germany. Unconvincing, but getting the job done with their usual efficiency. Russia are probably one to watch. But I think Spain are still the best bet for the World Cup from Europe. Then you go outside Europe and there's only really one name worth talking about. Brazil are always difficult to bet against and have already qualified. Argentina are struggling badly so I doubt they'll do it but stranger things have happened.

Usually not worth talking about anyone other than UEFA and CONCACAF teams, but lets do it anyway. The States haven't qualified yet but are in pole position to do so. They got good results in the Confederations Cup after all. Asia's all but done but can you really see South Korea matching their achievements under Hiddink? Japan are still the best in that region and they won't win it. And Oceania without Australia's a waste of space. Scotland could probably qualify from that lot! Well, maybe... we'd probably * it up against American Samoa. And Africa? The home nation are rotten. Cameroon's your best bet, though Ghana are the only one to have qualified so far there. The Africans are getting better but I just can't see them winning it yet.

Personally, forgetting the idiot pundits and commentators (the ones that really annoy me and make me want to hate England despite me not giving a toss about them) I think England are in with a great shout. They have some of the best players, they have an excellent manager for the first time in ages, and a lot of the other nations aren't as strong as usual. It's all adding up nicely for them, I think they've got a chance.

But I still think Brazil will do it. Again.

I agree with you about Capello, I really like him. And I agree about the easy group. Like I said, England won't win, however much i would like them to. I tend towards Brazil too, but the Home Nation factor can't be discounted, i reckon South Africa will have a better-than-they-should tournament.

Fair point, it's looking like it's going to be a good season in League 1, I can see Charlton & Leeds running away with it (2 big clubs that really shouldn't be in that dvision), I from Brentford and really they should be my team so I'm kind of hoping they can make a push for a play off place.

Who do you support ?

One of my best mates supports them, another team I always keep a close eye on...

Have a little faith, the season is still young...

Fingers crossed Milwall get relegated, they are just such a horrible set of supporters...
