LOL im Leanna, my mum picked it because she wanted me to have a unique name, as much as it is a nice name, it's very annoying when i want to get things with my name on it and it's not there, the closest they have is Leanne :( or Leah! maybe your parents could change it by deed poll? would that be allowed?

aww i love the name Emma! sooo lovely! but again i do agree that it is a very popular name, god imagine if you had loads of friends called Emma, you would have to give them all nicknames so you would know which one is which :P
awww bless, does this mean that Laurie is also short for Laurence? speaking of which, why is there an alternative spelling to Lawrence? :? i guess you do have a very good point! :D , don't mean to sound stereotypical, but do you talk like the people from emmerdale? haha! i bet you get asked that all the time XD

we think we have raised £5k, but the event nearly got cancelled a month before it was due to happen as Sky moved the game that we was to two days earlier, so we lost a lot of participants and money but we didnt do bad!

IIRC they were filming on the town street and i was with my parents walking along and they filmed us, muppets

i thought I was a morning person until ive had to be at work at 8am a few times recently, i look like a horror movie

smileymongoose1988 - I've no problem with you, you seem pretty nice so far. But, I'm going to have to point you to the Forum Rules which state that text language (perhaps in particular 'lol) are forbidden.

I don't want to be seen to piss on your parade, but better you change it now than later. :)

I deplore this trend of making up names. Its pretentious and self-absorbed.

Topher: well the only good thing i can think of is that it could be used as an ice breaker, although i wouldn't know where my name originally comes from :?

Yudster: does this mean that my name is self-absorbed and pretentious...? :|

i don't like stupid names, i.e. famous celebrities' children being named after places, or objects, i mean WHY?! i feel sorry for the kids to be honest, imagine the stick they could be getting as they grow up...

Hehe, I think there was a character in a programme called Hope and Glory, with Lenny Henry as the headmaster, who had that name too. Was wondering whether anyone remembers that show? or is it just me...? 8O

No, your name is just a meaningless made-up group of letters. The pretentious bit is the idea that using an arbitrary made up group of letters as a name is a clever thing to do. But its very fashionable, lots of people are doing it.
