Bonanzoid chose the year this week, he chose 1988!

Usual rules apply. Pick your favourite song from the year, post a youtube clip too please, it makes it easier to collect the nominations later :D I'll put all the songs into a poll on Wednesday, and we all vote for our favourites.

Get nominating!

Bollocks, bollocks, bollocks! Zoot, you're a bastard, I was heading for Welcome to the Jungle! Actually, I would have liked Fast Car as well.

So now I'm torn between A Little Respect, Mystify, Orange Crush and Orinoco Flow - I reckon I'll go for... Enya, just to be different.

PLEASE DISREGARD THE ABOVE - I HAVE CHANGED MY MIND AND PUT MY CHOICE IN A NEW POST.

I so hoped no one would choose Enya, I can't stand that horrible pretentious whimsy Oirish crap!

Only one choice for me this time, a song I absolutely love (altho as always I don't have youtube access!) - Somewhere in My Heart by Aztec Camera.

Well if it's peak position in 1988 then I'll go with Rick Astley's It Would Take A Strong, Strong Man but if it's release date, then I'll go The Hollies - He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother

catherine wrote:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Welcome_to_the_jungle

According to this Zoot's entry is 1987...? Whenever I click on one I want even though it reached its highest peak in 1988 they were released in 1987. So is the rules when it was released or when it reached its highest success?

We discussed this in one of the older threads Cat.

I got my song choice form here - http://www.popculturemadness.com/Music/ ... /1988.html
It was still in the charts in 88

Its neither peak position nor release date - if it was in the chart in that year it is eligible. So if it entered the chart in December and was still in it in January, you could have it for either year.

OK, having discovered this song is eligible for this year, Cat and I are making a joint entry:

Michael Jackson - The Way You Make Me Feel
