1) iPhone. No real secret that. Before I got it, I didn't think I would use half the features on it and it would probably end up on eBay within a month. Over a year later, I have no idea what I did without it.
2) My car. Ford Focus Ghia. Cue the Big Ghia Al jokes. Cracking car, easy to drive, comfortable, no problems at all. I want an ST though (in the easyJet orange). Or maybe a fiesta.
3) My computer. I've had it about two years now and seems to be running smoothly. I keep thinking about replacing it but there is really no reason.
4) My telly. Got it last year - 42 inches of sony bravia HD pleasure. Got it half price off the net. Sexy.
5) My bed. Ikea's king size. Pretty cheap and I can stretch diagonally from one side to the other without touching either end. No I just need someone else in it.
6) My DVD collection. It's not something I really noticed till recently, but I have such a massive collection of some very random films.
7) Sky +. Again, what did we do without it?

I can't think of any more. I don't think I own anything that sentimental - I don't have any photos that mean much to me or any jewellery that has been given to me.

8 ) Oxygen
9) Water
10) Food

There we go. I can't live without them either. (My iPhone is more important than the air we breathe though.)

That's such a boys' list, foots. I dunno if mine is a very girly list - probably. I've realised that as I get older I find much more pleasure and aesthetic value in other people's old crap, like the bird brooches and mirror. I love items with a history, even if I don't know what that history is.

I'll try and contribute, don't know if I can make 10 though.

1 - my laptop. It was a leisure buy when I had the cash, but after my year abroad etc it's proved to be my most valued possession. Couldn't live without it now.
2 - my phone. It's a shite old Sony Ericsson W810i, but it'd be impossible to go without it. To be honest, any phone would have made the list, regardless of make or model.
3 - my guitar. I bought a second hand acoustic Fender a couple of years back for £100 and according to fancy guitar type people it's really good, but I just love playing it. It's so...peaceful.
4 - my drum kit. Been playing drums for years now and my second kit is a thing of beauty. Not the most advanced, but as a hobby I didn't feel it necessary to blow thousands on it, it does the job.
5 - my necklace thing from Guadeloupe (RIP). It burst when I was in Spain, but it meant a hell of a lot to me. It was from my flatmates in Guadeloupe and reminded me of my time there. Cheesy but true.
6 - my bullfighting poster. Somehow, it was the only souvenir I got from Sevilla, so it does mean alot to me. It's proudly displayed on my door.
7 - my bed. Obvious reasons.
8 - my external hard drive. All my music, films and pictures, hence pretty self explanatory.
9 - don't know
10 - don't know.

It would have been better if you had posted it three days ago. The arguement loses some of it's momemtum when it takes you three days to come up with a retort.

;)

I had the exact same thing, all my music and photos on the one hard drive. It then exploded.

Trust me. Go and get another one for cheap (you can get hard drives for buttons these days) and take a backup. Don't risk losing it all.

I'm not sure I can come up with 10, but here's my attempt:

1- My photos. I have about 40 on my wall from various occasions, and they make me smile when I'm feeling a bit down.
2- My laptop. It's a cheap one with not a lot of memory, but I use it constantly and it does the job.
3- My phone. Very useful considering the lack of land-lines in halls. It also has many cute messages from my boyfriend saved.
4- My speakers. Essential for playing my music at the volume I like to play it at.
5- My box of letters, which contains letters from my friends all over the country, as well as other random memory things.
6- My hoodies. I have a few, from different cities or occasions, all very cosy and warm, which remind me of different people.
7- My bed. One of my favourite places to hide away in.
8- My silver cross necklace which was an 18th birthday present, reminds me of last year quite a bit.
9- My cards I was given when I got into uni. These always remind me of how everyone believed I could do it even when I had no belief in myself.
10- My bendy men. They're made of rubber, and can be bent into any position. I bought these when I went to Manchester to see Lily Allen, and they never fail to make me or my friends laugh.
