Hi Chris: I'm still waiting patiently for the yellow car you promised me. Ballina, Co. Mayo. :(

Well, hang on a second.

Punctuation: check.
No text speak (other than the unhappy face, but let them off): check.
Level of interest: got me intrigued.
Grip on reality: fail, this is not Moyles' website.

I await their second post with anticipation ...

I'd always assumed the using smilies was OK on here, on the basis that if they weren't the admin would have turned them off.

Using smileys to occasionally make a point is great, using them to write your post is not.

On a forum it is sometimes hard to determine if something was a joke or not or if someone is happy about something or not happy about something or if a comment was sarcastic. That's my opinion on them anyway and that is why i tend to use them alot on forums Image

There is worse people on here then P.J. Clarke... At least his first post wasn't to slag of Moyles like alot of peoples are just to wind everyone up.

I agree, i like using smilies for that reason.

Mrs AndyJ has a bright yellow (with black roof) Mini Cooper S. Its actually quite a nice colour and brightens up the street. Does anyone else have a bright coloured car?

There are some lovely coloured cars around these days. I don't have one though.

Why does the phrase "metallic diarrhoea" make me think of those Swiftcover insurance ads with Iggy Pop?

...he didn't get a great deal on car insurance though. It was banned because the advert inferred that he did, but they don't insure people from the entertainment industry.

Because it's been changed, watch it carefully, it doesn't mention him getting insured.

Ah right, I normally switch over when it comes on because it's such an annoying advert that I hadn't realised the change that was made.

I can't think of any image on TV regularly these days which is more revolting than that ad. How the agency can imagine that anyone is going to be anything other than repulsed by it is beyond me.
