They're not racing there after this year - it's supposed to be heading to Donington, but that's not looking like it's going to be ready, so Bernie says there won't be one.

Potentially not. And yes it is.

Did you see Jake's interview with Bernie pre-qualifying in the paddock. Bernie said that if the 'agreement' with Donnington falters then it would be back to Silverstone defo. I don't think those options had ever been expressed before now. The development plans on their website make Donnington look a real retrograde step as an F1 venue so I wouldn't be surprised for it to remain at Silverstone for a couple of years yet.

Jake Humphry is rather impressive I think. Jordan is currently sporting an antique pine look.

Don't know the details yet but apparently the breakaway is off, a deal has been struck.

Mosley won't be renewed as FIA president appears to be part of it. But I'll wait and see what happens tomorrow, since FOTA were meant to be meeting then. You've got to watch these loonies after all...

I want to hear confirmation from Stefano Domenicali first.

Interesting snippet in The Guardian

"It has to be remembered though that five years ago, in June 2004, Mosley announced he would stand down from his position in October of that year - only to rescind his decision a month later."

Indeed. Let's hope this time that FOTA actually get something in 'writing' to avoid this happening again. Durh!

Forgive me for forming an opinion based on a stereotype, but he doesn't exactly look like an formula 1 driver, does he?

Partly - also the skinny, slightly goofy face, the wispy blond hair and the general air of nerdiness.

Pretty scary, this Massa thing today - thankfully his condition is stable. What I'm not sure I agree with is people coming out and saying that something urgently needs to be done about it - I mean, they are the drivers so they know better than me and clearly if anything can be done as regards making the sport safer, then it should be done - but the last time there was a major incident like this in Formula One was a long time ago. Racing drivers don't go into the sport without knowing there's an element of risk involved and a big one at that. You can't get into a car that does well in excess of 200mph without thinking that there's some danger you're going to get hurt; they know and understand that.

F1 is a hell of a lot safer than it has historically been and if this had happened in the past (possibly not so long ago), Massa could well now be dead.

It's also pretty scary that this accident was so similar to the fatal accident involving Henry Surtees last Sunday - Massa was lucky it was just a small piece of debris and not a wheel.

It's pretty serious that he has a fractured skull, but it could have been so much worse for him than that.

So who do we reckon is going to take his place? It's a shame Ferrari don't have an ex F1 champion just hanging round the paddock who they could get to fill in for a few races.

Oh, wait.....

I'll probably look it up in a bit but what happened to Massa? I only saw todays race from about 10 laps him and all they said was right at the end he was in hospital??

Alonso's wheel was pretty impressive too, lucky that didnt cause more problems!

Thought for a bit I was watching a reply of a race last year with McLaren Ferrari 1-2!! As Lewis said, theyre 6 months behind on development and here we have it 6 months later!! Wonder if it'll last!

A bit wieghing about 1kg fell off one of the Brawns in qualifying, bounced along the track and hit Massa in the head. Telemetry suggests he was knocked unconscious as there were no "inputs" into the steering wheel after the impact and his foot was jammed on the throttle. He went into a wall, but the injury was caused by the thing that hit him. He has a fractured skull and some level of brain injury, and is in an induced coma to aid recovery. He may have issues when he wakes up smilar (although apparently not anywhere near as severe) as those suffered by Richard Hamilton.

Hope he's ok.
