Pretty is as pretty does. An (allegedly) sexually depraved if not downright perverted drug addict with the morals of - I can't think of anything immoral enough - can be as pretty as he likes, I reckon I'll still find it hard to be sympathetic.

As for Carradine, I am a bit worried by how much the Thai authorities are relishing revealing the gory details, especially at such an early stage in the investigation when it can't be more than speculation. It does make me wonder if there's plenty they aren't telling. And yes, if it is true, I will have to find a way to reconcile my sympathy for him with my lack of sympathy with Hutchence.

Sunny has just reported via Twitter that Farrah Fawcett has just died. I was never a fan at the time, but you have to accept that in her era she was an icon - and too young to die.

Oh no.

I just read that on twitter too - strangely enough Sebastian Bach from Skid Row had tweeted it just before Sunny. Very sad.

He certainly picked the wrong day to snuff it!

So apparently that was a load of bollocks.

I got all caught up in the excitement. I'm a tit.

The same thing has been circulated about several other Hollywood stars in the past - see here.

Michael jackson though. I am shocked by how upset I am. I grew up with Michael Jackson - he's been a star since I was 5 years old (and he was only 10) and until his perception of himself seemed to get so skewed, he was truly brilliant. I am struck by the probability that most of you won't have any recollection of him before the "Wacko Jacko" years, but I remember when he was a normal looking young black man who made one of the best albums of all time, Off The Wall. Thriller was good, but look at the difference in him - the rot had started.

I'm really sad, partky because all the TV footage being shown seems to be recent, and as far as I'm concerned that isn't Michael Jackson. This is -

Oh * NO.

I own four Michael Jackson albums. Off The Wall, Thriller, Bad and Dangerous. Four of the best albums in my collection, and when Michael was rightly known as the King of Pop.

I need to get them dug out and stuck on my iPhone.

I've made jokes, I've ridiculed him, I've maybe even detested him at times... but there's no denying I still love his career-peak music. He was an AWESOME entertainer in his day and to be honest, I've been rather missing him for the past 15 years.

And yet I'm still kinda shocked about the news last night.

I don't remember, but I have seen the photos. I don't think I'd be far wrong in saying actually he was a pretty good-looking kid / young man. Shame, really.

He was lovely. I know exactly what Munki meant when he said he's actually been missing him for 15 years - I have too, that man disappeared a long time ago. I can't help feeling that the latter part of his life was just as tragic as his death really. Its just SO sad.

Me and my sister grew up listening to Michael Jackson. My mother loved the Jackson 5 so that got played in the house when I was really small then late 80's my sister got into him in a huge way and bought all the albums. I think Dangerous is probably my favourite MJ album but that may be because it's a little more rocky (and Slash played on it of course). It seems quite fitting that as soon as I found out last night I rang my sister and broke the news to her.
I actually said to my Mum this morning that he'd actually died years ago really. These last few months rumours were going round that MJ wouldn't be singing live at the upcoming gigs, and even that he's only be on stage himself for a few minutes while look-alikes performed. The real Michael Jackson wouldn't do that.
My Sister bought me a ticket to see him in February for my Birthday.

Absolutely and completely gutted though.

He was a legend. Hearing his music on the Golden Hour just reminded me of how good he was back in the day. And before he got all taht shitty surgery he was a good looking, normal looking lad. He just looked creepy before he died.

I've had "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" in my head all day...

Oh no to MJ's death!

I remember watching a programme about 3-5 years ago on Channel 5 about Michael Jackson's ever changing face, which, considering Channel 5's content at times, was actually a serious look at how much he had changed over the years.

Anyway they did computer mock up of what Michael Jackson could have looked like, had he not had surgery:

He would have been a very attractive man (and I'm saying this as a straight man), such a shame he changed his face so much.

Couldn't agree more - he definately produced some of the most iconic songs, loved hearing 'Man in the Mirror' this morning.

Had to break the news to my friend who is a huge fan and had tried for hours to get tickets - he was quite gutted

Like Yudster, I've been surprised by my reaction to Michael Jackson's death. I've always been a fan and he was going to complete my list of the 'top 3 people I want to see live' in August.

I feel very sad that he's gone, such a tragic waste of a life and talent, gone far too young. I think he was a very troubled man, but so massively massively talented. I don't think there'll ever be anyone else like MJ and I feel sad that his last years were turbulent ones.

I hope (probably futile) that his family and children can have some peace.
