OK, so one Maria Sharapova appears to be heading out... currently a set down and 3-0 down in the second set against Gisela Dulko. Very little surprises me in women's tennis though, it's just so poor. Djokovic, however, is a set and a break down to Simon Greul - not even in the top 100.

Apologies, I read the score wrong... Djokovic took the first set 7-5, but was a break down (and is now ahead.) Carry on.

Dulko has let it slide. Its gone to a third set, making Sharapova the hot favourite I fear. Its such a shame she ruins any enjoyment of her tennis with her pathetic screeching, because otherwise she has a good grass court game.

Dulko gets a break in the third... more breaks than a Kit Kat. Not that that works very well, I can't be arsed to come up with one that does.

No she didn't - she wasted a few match points, but she won it in the end.

Never happier to be wrong. The screaming Banshee that is Sharapova will no longer cause migraines on centre court. Well, til next year. And for those of you mourning the loss of another hot female player, Gisele Dulko is beautiful, don't panic yet.

Azarenka is now on court 1 - unfortunately it doesn't look as though this particular shrieking witch is going to lose, but the crowd are ripping the piss out of her!

No it will forever be Henman Hill.

I missed the end of the match but I hope they replay it later. It seemed weird to me - Wawrinka seemed to be playing out of his skin, and Murray seemed to be playing really badly - but there still wasn't anything between them. I suppose that just illustrates the difference in quality, but just shows that anything can happen.

I think they both played well in spells to be fair, but Murray certainly wasn't at his best. A former grand slam winner next, Juan Carlos Ferrero, but in getting to the quarters, he's equalled his best performance at Wimbledon. He has a few clay and hard court titles, but none on grass. Having said that, he's caused some upset this tournament.

I fancy Hewitt to upset Roddick if he plays as well as he has been, but no other shocks really. Haas beat Djokovic in the final at Halle, which was on grass - but I can't see him doing it again and over five sets, although I'd like him to - but having said that, Djokovic represents a greater threat for the title later on and I'd like to see him in the final.

I was torn between Crimewatch and the tennis at one point.

Anyway, tour comedians Mansour Bahrami and Henri Leconte are about to start on court 18 - if you've not seen it before, it's worth watching on the red button if they show it.

Just Tweeted to you, no commentary online people but it is being shown on BBC website!

Always remember watching Bahrami sliding over on court and continuing to play sitting down, amusing

I am impressed by Sabine Lisicki, who apparently had never won a grass court match prior to Wimbledon and now finds herself in the quarter finals - having beaten Caroline Wozniacki and Svetlana Kuznetsova - and a set up against the world number one, and top seed Dinara Safina (although everyone knows she's really second to Serena - and on grass third after Venus and Serena.)

I love the tweet from Andy Murray today. Apparently after the long match last night Pizza Express fired up their ovens just for him.

I love that for two reasons. One, well played Pizza Express. A good move for marketing certainly, but good to do it anyway. Two, typical Scottish sports star - fast food in the middle of a tournament!

Enjoyed the Bahrami match and also saw a bit of Annabel Croft, which got me thinking - does anyone else remember 'The Interceptor' that she hosted?

Well, how wrong was I?! What a result for Tommy Haas.

Laura Robson is out of the juniors, she played well though - 8-6 in the decider and she was clearly in lots of pain with her back, she took an injury time out early on in the first set, but soldiered on to the end.

I definitely fancy the Federer v Murray final now. Haas has done well to get to where he is, but Federer will probably be too much for him. Roddick's quite predictable so unless his serving is accurate to epic proportions (or Murray has another inconsistent match like he did against Wawrinka) I can't see Murray not finding a way to beat him.

The women... Williams v Williams final I think. Boring. C'mon Dinara.

Haas always chokes against Federer - he was 2-0 up in the French and five points from winning the thing and still lost. Having said that, a man of his age shouldn't be where he is. I wanted him to beat Djokovic, but thinking about it, I've changed my mind... Djokovic would have been far more likely to take the fight to Federer and Murray given the chance.

Dementieva has broken, but that won't last long. I doubt she'll even consolidate with her next service game.

Topher, you were right, she didn't. Still managed to win the first set. Then lose the other two. We'll not even talk about the women's number one...

Actually, if she's women's number one, having never won a slam, I'm right - women's tennis sucks.

She put up a far better fight than I thought she would actually. Shame.

Regardless of whether she's women's number one, you are right and women's tennis sucks.

However, the fact that she is officially the women's number one is basically down to the fact that the Williams' only play in the slam tournaments. Did you look at the match between Venus and Serena in the Australian final? 6-0, 6-3. That shows the void between Serena (well, both of them on grass) and the next best players.
