That is a famous symbol... are you saying that's not vile?

That's a totally different arguement. The olympic logo was designed a couple of years back to promote a specific event. The paisley pattern has existed for hundreds of years in various guises. I don't think you even convinced yourself there...

Paisley is ok for pyjamas. Beyond that, well it just makes you look like you forgot to get dressed and are still wearing pyjamas.

What actually are the origins of the pattern Foots? It always looks to me to be French influenced to be honest.

Ha, fair enough... but I don't think I could like something just because it originated from my home town. Fred West came from the village of Much Marcle in Herefordshire, do you think they're proud of him?

OK, I'm running out of shit arguments, but the point still stands.

Tis of Indian origin I believe. The pattern was popular in the 19th century but the weavers of Paisley made it cheaper than importing it from India. That's why, in the Western World it is known as the Paisley Pattern.

So now you are comparing a fabric design to a serial killer? Shush.

Hehe, that made me remember the animated version of the logo that looked like some bizzare abstract sex scene! I've gotta find it.

Oh come on, you've been here long enough to know that's simply not going to happen.

I know, but I wanted to post it anyway. ;)

I wonder if Chris had been looking at the forum again, or has there been much talk of this Chris-a-like?
