EDIT: It is now online.

Gah! Where, where, where 8O

I can see 27/5/09 & 26/5/09 so far

EDIT: Ah the links up there now but the show "isn't available yet", bugger I was going to listen to this tomorrow as well

FURTHER EDIT: Downloaded it, I'll edit this & have it up & ready for the weekend :D Hopefully I'll get a few more Moyles done over the weekend as well :D

I can also confirm that, the swearing is indeed intact & the only bit cut off is the "Worst Episode Ever" jingle at the end, but that shouldn't be too problematic to fix ;)

Your use of inverted commas makes me like you a wee bitty more.

You've no idea how happy that makes me.

Colin Murray-radio one DJ 1999-2009 R.I.P :(

Why haven't you answered this -

And you're basing that claim on what? What's your source? Have you got a link you could share with us (which isn't a tabloid "newspaper")?

You have got to stop posting unsubstantiated opinion and presenting it as evidence-based fact - or provide the evidence when asked. So please tell us where you heard this - or whether it just popped into your head and you decided to pretend that you had heard it from a reliable source?

Hi there,

I read an article recently about a possible shake up in Radio 2:

"Although no contracts have been signed, the general assumption is that, within two years, Mayo will be doing Radio 2 drivetime instead of Chris Evans, who will step in at breakfasts on 2, with Sir Terry Wogan moving to weekends. This would be a rare broadcasting reshuffle in which everyone gets a slot they want..."

http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2009/apr ... -interview

I read somewhere (although I can't find it) that Colin Murray would be lined up to replace Simon Mayo on his 5Live slot, which would make sense as Colin is the usual stand in for Mayo. This is reinforced by Simon Mayo saying that he is unsure about staying with 5Live when they move to Manchester (http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2008/may/29/radio). So this move could be the beginning stages.

Sorry to go off topic a little, but I thought I'd offer some sort of justification as for the reason it happened, as well as sharing my nerdy radio trivia with people who care!

I read that article as well. Everything in your post is plausible, but of course nothing is definite yet.

Interesting too that the point about Radio 1 management being unhappy that Colin Murray quit isn't covered there. Where on earth can that have been written?

In the empty wastelands of Bradcali's imagination maybe.

... didn't someone else used to make posts like that? Her that can't be named?

Console would know if Bradcali was Voldemort. I don't think it is because Bradcali is too even-tempered. Given the amount of abuse that gets sent "his" way if it were Voldemort there would have been multiple meltdowns by now.

If Chris Evans were to leave that show, the person I would absolutely love to replace him would be Simon Mayo without a doubt. I do hope that's true.

What a great last show that was. You could tell he was slightly emotional about it all - or was that just the wine?

Anyone notice him saying something along the lines of 'please give Nick Grimshaw a chance'? Seems like the opinion of him isn't just limited to this forum.

I remember there was some backlash when Colin was put as a late night presenter-but not as much as Grimshaw. With Grimmy it's almost universal-with Col it was the few people who had only heard of him through the Colin & Edith Show (and not his previous days as a specialist DJ & fanzine editor) and also disliked him as they thought he was too brash. The criticism barely lasted past his first day though, I remember there was some criticism after he played The Killers & Queen on the first show but within weeks it had all died down.

I''m reserving judgement, but I feel it is worth noting that Colin had the credentials to take on a show like this when he began, that is to say if this is a specialist show-it could be playlisted and that seems even more likely with the way they are advertising it (Moyles, Mills & Grimshaw).
