How many of you tuned to a different station this last couple of weeks?

I can't stand Scott Mills - it really is awful. Even Greg James would do a better job!!! Vernon was a fantastic replacement when CM was up t'mountain.

The blame for the figures blip last autumn I lay firmly at the door of Scott given that the team went on holiday twice in 2 months (or something like that) and I reckon he lost the audience. If a mere muggle like myself can see that, one can only assume that R1 management have seen this this too. Lord help us if he ever gets the full time gig!!!

I personally still use the show as an alarm (on the TV), but I don't actually listen to it. It's just there.

I think I only tuned in when Oh Whats Occurring was on, hoping to hear another Sara Cox food montage...and also to hear who the guests were. Aside from Tim Minchin, all the guests were crap.

Aside from that, I listened to 6 Music, Xfm and Planet Rock all day.

I've not heard much of Danny Wallace but I like what I've caught in the past. Does he still have his softly-spoken friend? They are a good team.

Yes, Rich Glover (I think that's his name) was with him all of the time. I particularly liked the part where they were insulting the Norwiegan man in Swedish last Friday.

Mills just doesn't seem to wake me up in the morning, with Moyles as soon as they're onto the fourth line of the Cheesy song, I'm up & listening. With Mills someone in the house has to wake me up, too much music not enough chatter (I should point out that, to get asleep every night, I need music to listen to to help me doze off, so Mills playing music at the start of the show doesn't wake me up)

I'm going to download some of these Danny Wallace shows, I've heard good things about him, that reminds me...

I need to download what's left of Colin Murray's shows 8O I meant to download all of them for May and never did, just hope I get the last show!

EDIT: caught this weeks shows in time, was it his last week, erm, last week?

Shame that Colin's only got 3 shows left. You would have thought that he would want to have done Monday's Show, as it was his last week, so he could have had a special 'In the company of...'.

Ah, so three more left then, I'll make sure I download all three of those :)

I listened to the last week of Moyles on Listen Again, then some podcasts and archive shows, and when I'd exhausted all that I switched to Manchester Rock Radio. I'm working normal hours on Monday so I still have one day's worth of getting-ready-for-work time to fill.

I listened to Scott Mills for one show and couldn't take any more of it, his shows are complete shite, I was hoping for Gregg James or Vernon to take over for the two weeks, so for the past two weeks Ive been listing to the Ricky Gervais, Steve Merchant and Karl Pilkington XFM shows http://pilkipedia.co.uk/wiki/index.php? ... wnload:Xfm

I tended to put the show on first thing in the morning, in the shower and in the car on the way to work. But once I got to work I didn't bother putting my headphones on to listen any more. I haven't heard Radio 1 beyond 8am in the last two weeks. The only exception being on the journey home from work again - but I've had a lot of late nights in the last couple of weeks for one reason or another so even then I've only heard Greg James a couple of times.

That'll change when I'm back at work next week of course. While I'll be up and about on Monday I've got the day off, and I doubt I'll have the radio on much.

I have nothing against Scott and i'm sure he has worked hard to get where he is today but as alot of people say.....He just isn't breakfast material (on Radio 1).

I've opted for using my Phone alarm to wake me up this week, was much nicer than having to listen to fake laughter.

Glad Chris is back on Tuesday.

I used it as an alarm too. It didn't work, I was nearly late for work twice! I have now learnt my lesson, although one day it was aggravating me so much it did drag me out of bed to turn it off.

I've tuned in a few times in the mornings as background noise while doing other things. Unfortunately, the only time I was making a concentrated effort to listen (and listen well because I'd never actually heard Scott Mill's show before) they were talking about how much they'd talked about other things during the week. It was a bit of a letdown, honestly. In the end I just turned on the latest podcast (the best of the things they missed out) instead.

I'm glad I'm not alone then!!!!! :D

I've had to suffer ridiculous overreactions and ill-informed rants by the great unwashed with Five Live Breakfast and their odious phone-in. Roll on Tuesday!!!

Can't stand Mills in the mornings or his regular afternoon shows. Apart from the odd 'Oh, what's occurring', there's nothing there that I find funny or worth listening to.

Until this coming tuesday, I've been mostly switching between 5 live, Today on Radio 4 and a bit of 6 Music.

I usually listen as soon as I wake up, on my way to work and then put my earphones in and listen when I'm there, but for this past fortnight I listened to the first show and part of the second and then only listened until I got to work. I just couldn't subject myself to any more Mills than that.

His show is utter shite. There are no redeeming features about it at all. It is full of the same bilge day after day with the ridiculous OTT fake laughter at the slightest thing, Chappers and the bird piping up with "did you just say....." to Mills which again provokes uncontrolled fits of insincere guffawing.

I actually like Mills as a bloke and Chappers is very good when he is with Dave, but Chappers and Mills together is diabolical, amateurish local radio at its worst. I really cant convey how much I hate the Scott Mills show and that is coming from someone who will listen to EVERY DJ on Radio 1. The only other one I really dislike is Grimshaw, but I wont even turn him off.

I am so looking forward to Moyles and the team returning on Tuesday its untrue! If there is one thing that makes us realise how good Chris is just give us a fortnight of Scott Mills.
