Virgin has a habit of getting rid of DJ's rather quickly, noticable examples (between Mid 2001-Early 2002) include:
Steve Penk (Replaced Pete & Geoff but didn't do well enough in his first quarter so got axed & then replaced by Darrel Denham)
Darrel Denham (Replaced Steve Penk but then got replaced by Pete & Geoff, makes you wonder why they bothered taking Pete & Geoff off Breakfast in the first place)
Jon Holmes (To be fair he got sacked for getting Virgin Radio a massive fine, of which he was hired to "push the boundaries of Radio)
Mark Fox (Who was as mad as a box of frogs, was on from 1am-4am & yet was got rid of for "polarising the audience", how the * can you polarise a bunch of insomniacs & drunks? He was great but Management obviously thought not)
Jezza (Who was actually Jeremy Kyle, but although Mark Fox & Jon Holmes talked about his arrival, it seems that because his start date kept being pushed back so he sodded off to Capital FM and, as far as I can recall never got on air on Virgin)
Management was weird at Virgin Radio between 2001-2002, they got a wide range of different presenters, they were fairly popular & then a management change resulted in most of them being got rid of as soon as they were hired.
