As for Football = Soccer you know us colonist we have to be different and calling something like Football (aka Soccer) where you actually use your feet makes sense. We couldn't live with that so we created our own sport based off another sport or two and called it football for no good reason.

Well baseball makes sense since you know... bases and balls are involved.

I can't explain wrestling - I think it is stupid.

I don't shop Best Buy here because their talent lacks in a major way. Not to mention all they really focus on is selling that extended warranty instead of quality productions. Proceed with caution.

I usually refer to American Football as American Rugby, it's more closer to Rugby than Football anyway.

Gaelic Football is weird as well, they can score over the bar or in the net & each team has two scores, one for goals got over the bar, one for those in the back of the net, they then add the points together to get the final score, although one goal = 3 points so if they score one goal in the net they add two points on top, two goals in the net six points on top, etc. It's funny to watch anyway

Ozzie Rules football on the otherhand is a big brawl with a ball, from the ad I saw for it

Something funny about American sport is that - even though they don't play it to any great standard - America are still the Olympic Rugby Champions! If they're Olympic champions then surely they should actually learn to play the game and compete properly!
