I wouldn't say its a long way. According to the varied 'unaccurate' figures, only 80,000 seperates them now. Thats by the age ranges that are actually covered by RAJAR.

This time last year 660,000 people seperated them.

Yep, the gap seems very slender all of a sudden, which I find surprising given the age ranges thing. You never know - he may even surpass Wogan at some point, though I didn't think it was possible.

Although it's worth bearing in mind... as has been said before - both in the run up to these figures and in previous figures where numbers have gone down - it's not a very scientific way of doing it.

True but it's the only system we've got and if Chris does overtake Wogan we'll all be singing the praises of the inaccurate system!

Wogan got 7.78, Chris 7.7, Wogan down from 8.1 last year, according to the lovely piece in the Star today. As Chris says, there have to be at least 100k under 15's who listen to Chris, who don't listen to Wogan.
