isn't the RAJAR ratings out in the next month or so.

That maybe the reason chris is subdued in the matter.

Reason being that with the coverage that has been given too the show. You will see a increase in ratings.

You'll then likely see chris take 1 big dig at all the papers that say chris is leaving.

How good would it be too see the ratings go up. You'll have a hard time anyone being replaced with 8 million plus figures.

May i be so bold as too say that chris may surpass terry wogan and be the largest audience on british radio.

You really can't take even an estimate of figures from texts becasue firstly, Chris has the breakfast show and therefore many people are in their cars or busy getting ready or even at work and so don't have the chance to text in. Secondly, Chris seems to do so many text polls/opinion things that many people just can't be bothered.

As for the ratings I really don't think Chris has a chance of catching Terry but with all the Kilimanjaro publicity and fewer rants (I think) I think he has a chance of getting them up. The quiz show might also have got him a handful of listeners but to be honest he is still really not that great on TV.

the RAJAR figures for the first quarter are published this coming thursday,may 7.Radio stations are told on wednesday so Chjris will get a call on wed night probably.So squeeky bum time all day wednesday for the team!

They send RAJAR diarys out to certain homes within the UK. People then fill them out over 1 week and send them back. For sending them back they get put into a prize draw (big woop!).

Each person = 1000 listeners.

They are not at all acurate but at the moment, and has been the case for years, its the only way to do it. Radio stations buy RAJAR because it allows them, normally, to sell advertising and give some figures to potential customers.

RAJAR is currently developing a digitial watch that automatically picks up the radio frequency you are listening too and then sends it back to them. If this is succesful then it will give true ratings for all the radio shows, some will go up, alot will probably go down.

Although I totally agree with you, its stations that pay for the service. If they could get more accurate figures, that could make sure they got better advertising, then stations may actually pay a little more for RAJAR happily.

Depends - as you say, more accurate figures might not be to everyone's taste.
